Another We-Write Another Chance To Win!

Welcome back! If this is your first time participating in a We-Write, sit back and get ready to be creative! I would also like to apologize for coming to you a day late! I've had an amazing opportunity to come to the Steem Creators' conference, and in doing so I lost track of my days!

Speaking of which...look who @freedompoint and I had lunch with!

Below you will find the story that I have written in 5 minutes. Then in the comment section or in your own post, it will be your turn to finish what I started!

Directions

This contest is pretty simple. If you choose to write your own post, all you need to do is copy and paste my portion of the story with your story! But how do you show which part is mine and which is yours?

That’s easy! All you need is the > at the beginning each paragraph of my story. For example:

>One day a long time ago, the Yeti was sitting with his fancy bride under a mighty oak tree when a sing-song bird come over delivering a message.

>“My dear sweet neighbors,” sang the sing-song bird. “I have come bearing urgent news from the distant mountains. The leader of the mountains is on his way now to conquer these lands and burn all the trees down to stubs!”

>“We cannot let this happen!” the Yeti said in his ruggedly handsome voice. He then pulled his sword out and charged up the mountain to defend the lower lands.

Now that will look like this!

The Start of the Story

"Pull the plug already!" Gary growled.

"I can't," Jody whimpered.

"Stop holding onto hope when there's nothing left." His head dropped to hands as he leaned against the metal wall.

Jody looked towards the bathtub. Sitting amongst the bubbles floated her favorite bubble bath bottle that had been knocked over where the contents had flowed freely into the old, lukewarm water from their son's bath.

"But if I pull the plug, then it's really all gone...I can never get it back."

Gary tramped against the wooden floor towards the bathtub determination etched into his eyes.

"No!" Jody yelled throwing herself in front of him.

Haha so this is where my brain went as I sat listening to speakers! A Steem conference may be the only place that it's socially acceptable to use your phone or computer while participating!

Where does the story go!? I can't wait to find out!
