Good Tuesday morning wonderful Steemians. It seems silence has taken over of the noise brought about by recent festive celebrations. It's 2018, and I am sharing my second freewrite entry for the year. This wonderful challenge, the 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge, was organized by @mariannewest. Today's prompt is "callous".
People's eyes are rolling
You hardly noticed it
You made me frown
But you ignored
We're hurting of your antics
But you seemed so heartless
You see people disheartened
But you are insensitive
Your greediness
Made people cringed
But you don't care
You think about yourself
Insisting of your wants
But you are numb
Don't you have the heart
To feel these things?
To understand people?
To care about what they feel?
The negative perception
Created in their mind about you?
You have a stoned heart
Your heart is callous
You cannot feel anything
Because you only care about is you
Do change yourself
If you love yourself
By treating people
The way you want to be treated
Eventually, you regain respect
And the love you want to feel
For the peace and unity
That we aimed for ourselves
Don't be callous, don't be insensitive
Be sympathetic
And you gain the everything
That you wanted in your life.
