Good Tuesday afternoon Steemians and freewriters around the world! It's quite not a good day but we have to go on with our activities. I just did my #freewrite entry yesterday, and now I am back for the daily prompt today which is Texas.
Missing the home
where I was born,
where I was raise.
Those childhood memories
remains within me.
The happy times.
The tough times.
Went to other city.
A bigger city.
Still takes me to the place.
The place I call "home".
I am standing
where I had my dreams
came true.
But my heart do not live here.
It belongs to somewhere else.
Listening to the music,
I heard country songs.
While traveling to the desert.
It reminded me of this special place.
That place where it is more peaceful.
I miss the food. I miss the atmosphere.
I miss everything the place offers.
My heart is there.
I left my heart in Texas.
The place where I belong.
The place where I became human.
The place I call home.
I would be happy to come back.
Back to my home.
Texas, you're my home.
Texas, you remain in my heart.
I don't really live in Texas, but this one is written for those Texans who might have left their place with the longing to come back, and go back to their home.
This freewrite entry was, as usual, written using The Most Dangerous Writing App. It makes freewriting even more challenging with this app. Set the timer to 5 minutes, then you can start writing.
