There once was a daisy who watched the other flowers in the garden. She loved being a flower, and always wondered what it would be like to be a different flower.
She especially loved the roses, because their fragrance was the talk of the garden keeper.
One day before the sunset, the daisy asked the rose, “How did you become so beautiful?”
The rose answered, “I am no more beautiful than you. We are both flowers.”
“But you smell so wonderful. I don’t smell the way you do.”
“You smell wonderful in your own way. We are both flowers.”
The daisy thought about it and was still not convinced that the rose was not a better type of flower.
When the sun was almost set, along came a woman and her little girl. “Mama, I want to pick a flower. Can I pick this one?” She asked, pointing to the roses.
“Oh no. Not a rose. The rose has thorns that will hurt you. Here, pick one of the daisies.” She said and pointed to the daisy.
“Oh, I love this flower Mama.”
Ding!
