Hello friends, this is my first entry #fruitsandveggiesmonday . I am very excited to participate and to be able to show something from my kitchen. thanks @lenasveganliving for encouraging us to eat healthy and live a wonderful experience with food. For this Monday I share with you a rich pea soup.
Ingredients:
- 250 peas
- 1 onion
- 3 ajies
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Vegetables to taste: yucca, pumpkin and potato.
coriander - And a kind of herb known in Venezuela as Culantro (It has an incredible aroma and flavor, I have my own garden.)
Preparation:
It is a very simple soup, you just have to put the peas on medium heat in a pot with enough water. After it boils, it will be prepared as a cream, depending on how much water will be more liquid or thicker. Sauté the onion, garlic, ajies and coriander to add to the mixture. finally add the vegetables. When the vegetables are ready, you can take out the soup and serve.
Peas are rich in fiber, provide vitamin A, B and C to the body and delay premature aging. You can get it at any supermarket, they are easy to make and to accompany with everything.
