Friday is here! Are you excited about the weekend and all the fun, relaxation, and enjoyment you are going to have? We sure are. Since you will probably have more time in the next two days, that time can be well spent on Fundition by supporting amazing projects that will change the world for all of us.

There are two ways you can support those projects, by being a Supporter and upvoting them and donating hearts or by being a Backer and donating money in crypto or fiat currencies. What we will be talking about today goes for both Supporters and Backers but can be seen as more important to Backers since people usually regard their donated money as a more serious approach than an upvote and have concerns where that money is going to end up.
Backers want to give support to creativity in the community by donating money to projects they see as deserving. With their donations, they are showing that they believe in a project and the person behind it. That donation can also be seen as a promotion of that content since backing the idea with money holds a great value when it comes to its quality. Since many projects have Backer rewards, Backers get rewarded for their donations and connect with founders in that way, some are even in contact with founders which we always encourage. Sometimes, Backers even become Collaborators.

There are always some risks involved when you give your money away. You may have the best intentions and trust that your money is going to an amazing project because you see it as such, but... Is it? Fundition tries to do its best to ensure transparency of projects but anyone can make a project and it is up to you if you are going to trust them.
Unfortunately, there will always
be those who want to take
advantage of you.
You can never be too sure about something so we want you to know how it is important to do your research. You are free to support who you want and we do not want to stop you in that but we do want you to be careful with your money. It would be a shame if a great honest project does not receive the funds it needs because you gave it to a scam instead. To prevent this, you do have a responsibility to yourself and your money. Think before you act. Here is what we suggest:
- See if a project owner has done projects before
- Look up the project owner on social media
- Look up the project on social media
- If there are contacts, contact the owner and visit the website
- Check the steemit profile of an owner
- Research the owner and the project in search engines
ALWAYS
do your research
before you DONATE
