Photos from last Sunday's trip to the fun fair.

I've been postponing this one for a while, but better late than never.

Last Sunday I decided to take the boys out to visit a traveling funfair Suomen Tivoli when they were located at the Lahti harbour.

The first attraction we visited was the Ferris wheel. While riding the thing, @MarkkuJantunen gave me a call and inquired if we had any plans for the day and told he and his wife needed to get Milla off her computer and arrange an outing or something with our boys. I was glad to announce we were already at the funfair, and they'd be perfectly welcome to join us there.

Miro was apprehensive to taking on to any other rides than the Musik Express, but eventually Leo and Milla convinced him to take to some of the other attractions. One of the first ones he eventually took was the balloon ride.

At one point Milla wanted to go to the Gravitron with some school mates she met at the fair. Markku didn't want her to take the ride "alone" so he quickly ran to buy a ticket, and almost missed the ride altogether.

I'm not going to take that ride, ever. Vera once convinced me to try a similar device a decade ago and I'm still feeling ill thinking about it. ;)

Well after the ride, Markku came out looking quite green and feeling queasy, while Milla was apparently wanting to go back and do it again. Leo and I proposed having icecream instead sarcastically, thinking they'd get sick of the thought. Didn't go as planned, we decided to go buy some refreshments (coffee, lollipops for Miro and Milla, and cheese cake for me and Leo).

But before we could go to the coffee shops, Leo and Milla wanted to try out the Mega HipHop free fall device, so they did.

Pure excitement!

Markku and I decided to take a break and had long talks about Bitcoin, Altcoins and relationships in one of the harbour café terraces while waiting as the kids were having fun riding the attractions.

Notice Markku's posh pink style.

Leo, Miro and Milla all tried out frog fishing at one of the booths. Leo got a light saber with sounds, Miro got a Dino Egg, and Milla got herself a pink plushy Dragon. The one sitting on Markku's lap in one of the pictures above.

The most frequented attraction of the day was likely the Musik Express Miro was so fond of.

By the time of taking the last pictures the younglings were starting to get somewhat tired. It had been a long day of course, and sleepy time was fast approaching. We can see much of the enthusiasm fade in the later photos.

But as it was, everyone had fun, and it was a nice distraction from the usual routine. I hope we'll be able to have more of these kinds of interventions to ordinary life.

So that's the story of last Sunday. Hope you liked it, and I'll be back with new stories later. :) See ya!
