"Mom, when I was a little star, before coming down to Earth, was I flying through the universe or was I staying in a single spot? I wasn't a lonely star, right?"

"Knowing you, I imagine you were probably flying." I replied, surprised by his questions, without having the slightest clue where this conversation would go.

I looked at him and he seemed to be far away. He took a few seconds to gather his thoughts. Then he continued:

"If I was flying that means I was going on warp speed, no?" He raised his eyes and looked at me, curious to see what I had to say.

"Probably!"

His last sentence got me intrigued. Before I said anything, he added:

"Was I wearing a helmet while I was flying?"

His question made me smile. Him, on the other hand, seemed to be very serious.
"Tell me, mom! Was I wearing a helmet?" His eyes were starring at me, waiting for me to answer.

"I don't think so! You were a star, not a child!" I replied laughing.

All of the sudden, I saw a smirky smile upon his face. I recognized that look. He had it coming for me. He raised an eyebrow and asked:

"If I wasn't wearing a helmet, while I was travelling through the universe at warp speed, why do you insist I have it on while I go on my bicycle or on my scooter? They can't go on warp speed. They're much slower! What do you have to say to that?"

My jaws dropped. I could not believe my ears. My kid had left me speechless. His logic made perfect sense!
