AND JUST LIKE THAT THE INTERNATIONAL 2017 ENDED!

...with really hectic and rushed ending as always. Even after so many internationals it's still very hard for Valve to make a nice ending and not to speed up the whole celebration. The grand final games were a big stomp and there was so much time to make the ending amazing, but it was a failure. Where was the Purge's game analysis or interviews with the winners or at least some last words from the Gaben himself? Nowhere.

But the rest of The International 2017 was amazing as every year. Great plays from all teams, some clutches and awesome team-battles. I can't forget to mention hyped commentators, real emotions from players and passionate panelists. We also found out there will be new 2 heroes added to Dota 2 and that Valve is working on a new card game based on dota called Artifact.

And who won?

Liquid had been defeated in the upper bracket, but then they fought through the lower brackets and managed to play against Newbee in the grand finals. They beated Newbee with an easy 3:0 win. They played perfectly and definitely deserve the win. They won $10,840,425.

I would also like to thank everybody who joined my Dota 2 contest and please don't forget that I will transfer the winnings to you after the final payout for the contest's posts are received.

However I can't really tell why the whole contest was not popular at all! Not many people joined and I was actually the only participant in the last contest's post. I am just not sure if this was because not many people know enough about the game or they just didn't like the prizes.

Or are there just too many contests on steemit and the whole contest tag is over-saturated? Is typing 6 words for a chance to win few steem dollars too much to ask? What do you think?

Thank you!
