Techland Be Like "Thank you for playing our game. Here, have your 10 free DLCs."

"The imposing of ones will, the creation of ones own rules. That is what makes a man. Do you live by your own rules, Crane? Or are you merely someone else's puppet?"

-Kadir 'Rais' Suleiman

Do you still play Dying Light? If you do, make sure you don't stop soon because I got a veeery good news for you. Back in 2015 when Dying Light released, the game really amazed me in many ways, epecially the gameplay feature that allows the player to parkour your way through the zombie city, because that's something I rarely experienced in video games (yes, I'm new).

And I thought it couldn't be better until I upgraded the character's skill and obtained new moves such as rolling and sick drop kick. Man, this is like Mirror's Age with zombies. But there is more to that. The latest expansion, The Following, was even better than the original game with its new locations, new missions and new elements.

In early 2016 Techland announced their plans to support the game with more DLCs. Since the game released Techland post launch support including modding support, new features steadily coming out, and The Following expansion has gained positive feedbacks. And then about a month ago Techland teased a bit about another DLC for Dying Light.

Now when it comes to DLC, this is something that makes the majority of gamers a little bit unhappy, or even do not like it at all for many sensible reasons. Of course it's awesome that we could have new experiences from the game we love by purchasing the DLC provided, but the "purchasing" part is why I said "a little bit unhappy".

This is where the good news kicks in. As their gratitude to the community for faithfully being with them and still craving for more of Dying Light, the Polish studio is releasing 10 pieces of new original contents for over the next 12 months.. Completely free! For everyone across all the game's platforms--PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Check out this latest announcement video from the game's producer, Tymon Smektala.

We will be seeing the first content drop as "a tiny taste" of what's to come. But we are still stuck in "soon" for the information of when will we get the first content drop, dubbed DLC #0 exactly. And looking at what the producer said in the video "We are also listening very closely to all of your thoughts and ideas. So please, don't hesitate to contact us and tell us what you want to see in the game." Perhaps the team will very likely to add your ideas in the next DLC, don't you think?

Judging by everything I've seen in the last 3 years, I think Dying Light will still be a great game to play in 3 years more if Techland keep supporting and improving the game continuously before moving on to the next title. Another Techland's upcoming plan also the reason why I think that way, Techland will create a dedicated community platform "through which fans will have an influence on what kind of new content is created."

10 pieces of DLC. Free. For everyone. For all the game's platforms. I don't think that is something we see very often from game developers these days.

If more developer valued fans above gold,
this world would be a merrier place.
