Space Siege is a spiritual successor of popular ARPG Dungeon Siege that, you guessed it, switched from fantasy setting to SF one. Game was released in 2008 and was developed by Gas Powered Games. Game takes us in space where humanity's only hope of survival is a colonization ship that soon after gets attacked by the aliens who destroyed Earth, it's a very grim situation for our small team trying to save the ship from certain doom. We play as Seth Walker, a ships security officer trying to repel the alien attack and save the colonists.
Unlike sword and bows of old school Dungeon Siege in this game we will slay throngs of nasty aliens with SF weapons like laser rifles and plasma guns. As we progress through out the game we are given an option to replace body parts with cybernetic augmentations for more efficient killing. Space Siege is a full on massacre game and with each new level more and more aliens will try to swarm you, that will not be very easy for them because by the time they reach you, you will blow them to kingdom come with overpowered late game gear and augmentations. Space Siege was not as successful as Dungeon Siege games, but it still is very fun game that any ARPG lover could give a spin.
