Half Life is one of the best first person shooter game series. Half Life games can be found in almost every best PC games list ever made. Main protagonist in Half Life series is a quiet scientist Gordon Freeman who lets his guns do the talking. Half Life series is known for excellent story and even greater multiplayer.
Half Life
First Half Life game was great in every aspect. You would get hooked on a great singleplayer immersive story about alien invasion on research facility Black Messa where our hero Gordon Freeman worked as a scientist. Game offered so many great and atmospheric levels and there was no stopping until you complete the game. After great singleplayer experience it was time to try out some multiplayer and that part of Half Life is the best. There were also so many modes for Half Life including massively popular Counter Strike. Opposing Force was shorter expansion where we play as a soldier trying to clear Black Messa from aliens.
Half Life 2
One of the best games ever created for sure is Half Life 2. Game, to this day has one of the best looking graphics and by far the best physics engine. Almost every item could be picked up and tossed or launched from one of the best FPS weapons ever created, popular gravity gun. Story in second game took place few years after events in Half Life where combine alien forces took control of every city and our hero Gordon Freeman helped the resistance get rid of alien menace. Two episodes were released as a continuation of Half Life 2 story. It can be said that Half Life 3 is everyone's fantasy, maybe one day Valve surprises us and releases another great hit.
