Majesty Games

Majesty is a Real Time Strategy game series where you slowly build your kingdom, recruit heroes, upgrade buildings and clear all monster dwellings. Player can't directly control his units, they are run by AI and you can only control them by placing gold bounties around the map. That can lead to so many great or disastrous situations. All Majesty games have satirical approach to storytelling with sarcastic advisor cracking wise ones non stop. Eye pleasing graphics, great gameplay and great music can hook you for this series easily. Majesty games posses that interesting concept that no other game even tried to recreate. Visit fantasy world of Ardania, you might be surprised how good it is.

Majesty

Majesty was one of those rare unique games that had so much charm back in the days. Building your town in this game and recruiting different heroes who follow different gods was so much fun, you would also cast spells from that god. Heroes would level up on their own and kill monsters that roam in your kingdom. Your goal was to clear the map of monster dwellings and passively build armories and marketplaces where those heroes would buy items needed for them to become stronger. This game had so much charm and was highly underrated, it was a gem though, one of the best games of early 2000s.

Majesty 2

Highly anticipated second Majesty game was released in 2009. Player's goal is to manage the empire by upgrading buildings and recruiting new heroes again. This time in more modern graphics engine, some people didn't like the new engine because it lacks that charm from the first game. I liked it though. One of the hardest games ever released, developers really made some unbalanced missions where you had to play vs insane waves of monsters and try to clear the map. Majesty 2 had 3 expansions - Kingmaker with new missions and Battles of Ardania. Monster Kingdom is the last expansion where we can interestingly enough play as a monster faction.
