KERBAL SPACE PROGRAM
The Capt'n has some hobbies, other than photography and cooking, through which he expresses his creativity. Gaming is one of these.
Preferring games with elements of construction and design the Capt'n was immediately drawn to the sound of Kerbal Space Program when it first popped up on his radar in 2015. Not long after that he purchased a copy for a very modest sum (almost a rip off price for Squad considering how brilliant a game they have made, well worth the money!) and began a fledgeling career in Rocketricky and Spacesploration.
With his careful hand and a keen eye, for avoiding flying directly into the ground, Kerb greats such as Val, Bill, Jeb and Bob have ventured to vacuum and moons distant. Doing science and trying not to splatter any space tourists to the inside of their tin can projectiles.
Contraptions have been landed under arches on exrakerbal bodies.
Flags have been planted while the homeword rises on the horizon to the accompaniment of great fanfare.
Knowledge has been gathered and ferried home to R&D with great diligence.
Sometimes not everything has gone to plan.
But with plenty of patience and some big rockets.
More than a few pretty pictures have insued.
All of the above screenshots are from previous verions of KSP and may contain modded parts.
Now that KSP 1.3 has been unveiled (and installed) the Capt'n is back on a brand new career mode with zero mods.
Already some science has been conducted, some tourists lobbed into orbit and some parts have very definitely exploded.
Although we are as of yet to see the dreaded Kraken raise its catastrophic head.
Once Capt'n gets around to some proper missions in 1.3 more of these kinds of posts will be created.
Do you also play KSP?
What is the furthest you have gotten out into the Kerbal system?
What do you think of 1.3?
It seems to the Capt'n to be a smoother and more detailed game and getting more so with each new patch.
Until next time.
Go boldly!
And if you can't do that then go out in style.
With a big bang.
