The Destiny 2 Beta has finished and with Gamescom just around the corner, new details about the game are surfacing daily. The latest bit of news of is info about a brand new PVP mode and a new PVP map.
The new PVP Mode
Bungie is adding a new PVP mode to Destiny 2, the mode is aptly named Survival. This new mode has the new 4 vs 4 lineup and each team gets 8 lives from a shared pool. So long as the lives are available you will be able to respawn but when a team member dies, one live is subtracted from the pool until all 8 lives are used up. When this happens, you won't be able to respawn anymore. The first team to win 3 rounds wins the match.
The new map
The new PVP map is called Altar of Flame and is set on the Planet Mercury.
It is a medium-sized map and like most new PVP maps is more suited for medium to close combat.
Destiny 2 will be released on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version will be available on October 24.
