Update On Monarch Caterpillar In Winter – Chrysalis Formed – Original Photography

I BLINKED AND I MISSED IT!

Given the cooler temperatures we have been experiencing, was not expecting a chrysalis to form today! Had I been watching more closely I would have been able to capture the process leading up to this!

It is raining quite heavily and the forecast is in the low forties for tonight, so I have brought the butterfly tent into the garage.
