It’s officially on here

Good day people of the Steemit community. I can announce we are officially rolling.
The #Getarecord contest has been started a week ago when this post here was published about the concept. This post started the contests first run for a 8 track compilation album on which the plan is to finally print them on vinyl. This week has shown major interests from both the musicians as the vocalists on steemit to participate. To be able to have a great community and a place to keep up to date, listen to songs, learn from other and network with each other, the SMA community channel als has expended rapidly last week with new ability’s of use for the radiovoice channels and interactions in the crowd. More of this will announced soon but I can tell you we are able to do live studio sessions and record live into music projects over discord, with almost no latency or loss in quality, but the opposite.

The beatlist

The week has brought us a nice beatlist of epic submissions in all other styles of music. To listen to the beats and to download them the following soundcloud playlist is used where the use of #tags and keywords is consistent and optimised for the music bot to be able to give live feedback on the radio whenever it gets requested.

First one to officially make Get a Record running is @nutela with his nice and chilly 4.38 khz tune that he submitted by commenting a link to his soundcloud page. the track: 120 bpm a nice chill groovy sound with the kind of almost asian sounding elements in it.

one of the first ones that joined the SMA community as I can remember. Not a lover of beat-programming himself (I know he said it ) but yet comes up with a tone that from the beginning on got me, the elements in it sound a very lot like it coud be from team air plugin demo's, can he work there? I mean those demo's are pretty decent and widely appreciated aswel respect to that! nice chill feel, and a little too loud bass but that is very easy to fix

3 @Termitemusic - Dorsan Fin : I can't say anything other than this beatmaker of lo-fi hiphop and grimey beats will make a name for real if he keeps coming up with this kind of beats . the athmosphere and the design of video and content just fits perfectly and thus you are hiding some marketing talent.. you feel it in this beat aswell, I hear a sampler at work from top notch level... good job, would love to see something with a female voice on this one to be honest. would love to see him come bye and join the future jam sessions in the SMA channel one day but until then we just wait. 4 @djlethalskillz - Space elevator
wow phat entry here, as a teammate in the SMA totally supported you from the beginning already. for those who don't know btw, @djlethalskillz here is a Redbull dj ;) flying across the globe with topnotch music, it's clearly hearable in the track aswell this track owned me in the 11th week of the beatbattle bigtime, winning it leaving me as follower but it's a very good track a track like this could be used for multiple vocal styles, I'm curious what's gonna be made out of it. https://dsound.audio/#/@djlethalskillz https://soundcloud.com/djlethalskillz

5 @scuzzy - Barbara Palvin
this track is in my opinion already gold but is at the same time screaming for vocals. The atphosphere in scuzzy's track called barbara pelvin totally is surprising and I am pretty amazed here this guy has some skills i can tell you that the feels have something nostalgic to its, like early 2005 or something kind of music.. just check it out I would recommend this one to use for if you like to do something that goes in all direction literally! Let's find out

Steemit music alliance community channel

The contest is split up into 8 sessions of 2 week each, where producers send their tracks to be used by vocalists to add vocals to them and have each a 50% stake in the resulting track. To embrace the collaboration among the steemit community, from both singers and music makers, the environment for the SMA (Steem Music Community) Discord channel will be used to synergise and interact with the community. In partnership with the beatbattle and SML challenge.

The SMA is home of the #beatbattle #SMLChallenge that inspire and motivate producers to compete with eachother in an epic competition. The leading figure behind these 2 contests is @chiefmappster, a promoter for several ventures in vegas. Both contests are a huge succes and to add to the creativity in the community and thus create value for steemit. To cover the needs for producers and to reach out to the singers community, the Get a record contest was founded by @seveaux (sevo) and from there we started building SMA together.

ON TOPIC

Okay let’s get to the point. Round 2 of the first session of the #getarecord contest is now officially announced. This time it’s all about the vocals. Do you like singing? Are you a singer but you never had the chance to get original music for yourself ? Are you an amateur who likes to see what i twill bring to give a shot ? Do you want your OWN song become reality? Are you looking for a musical experiment ? Than you are in the right place here. Listen to the tracks in the following Soundcloud playlist to see what track you like and what you could probably use for your dreams. By downloading the track it is easier to use for recording vocals and also it’s needed to export the beat with vocals as one mp3 file and submit it. See who’s beat you can use, and if you like one and want to create vocals for the, you can contact the steemian who made it and let them help you with the recording for better results. Work together and meet new friends to share the creativity with. Next week, on monday, over 7 days, the submission will close and a day later at least the official winners of the first round will be announced and the first record will be official. Also this track will be used in promotions to spread the concept and grow the community with interests for collaborations and creative projects.

The best combination of beat and vocal (track) will win 50 SBD and will be the first track for the record containing all collaborations from this contest on a digital and possible vinyl compilation.

There are no boundery’s or restrictions in terms of sticking to a certain style or theme, everything is free. The only thing that isn’t allowed is to let the producer of the beat you like to collaborate on make additional changes to pump up the quality of the beat. But it’s allowed to go all creative with the producer together to get the best vocal / track combination.

Note: By submitting the vocals you agree with them to be played elsewhere or be used for other contests or beatbattles. Although you will be noticed and asked for persmission if something like that happens.

Why we use soundcloud.

To make it work as easy as possible, the beats that were submitted in round 1 of the first session of the contes are uploaded on the #SMA #getarecord soundcloud page. By doing so we can use the best keywords to have the music bots find the tracks easy without failure and are we able to give live feedback and tips about the submitted production. Discussions with the community members about the quality, original and unique creations do also have influences on the jury for winning a session.

In 7 days, the winning track will be published in a post that gets followed up by the start of the second session to create the second track for the album with your beats and YOUR voice.
