The inspiration for my business name, KOKI, came from the native tree frog of Puerto Rico, Coqui. I am Puerto Rican and I visited my family in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico many times when I was younger. I always had such a wonderful time with my lovely family. Going to sleep to the sound of El Coqui in the background is one of my favorite memories, it was the finishing touch to some of the most amazing nights.
I create products that complement not complicate, pure, simple and inspired by nature. I use no hidden ingredients or chemicals made in a lab. You can feel safe knowing that you're not putting junk on your skin, your largest organ. I also strive to keep my wonderful non-toxic products affordable.
Most of my products contain beeswax, that's the only animal product used. I buy specific beeswax, where the bees were not harmed by smoke. I'll most likely be switching to Candelilla Wax so my products will be 100% Vegan.
