Golden Hour Photography: Everglades Sunset

Every year a friend of mine and I fulfill an annual tradition that has lasted over a decade so far. We pack up all of our gear and hit the road for the 3 hour or so drive down to south Florida for an escape into the Everglades to camp, hunt, fish and more. On this past year's trip we happened to have an absolutely stunning sunset over the water we were camped next to. I couldn't help but get up from the campfire and wander over to the water's edge to soak it all in and snap a few shots.

Usually we make the trip late in the year when it's a bit cooler. As you can imagine, camping anywhere in Florida during the warmer months, especially Summer, would likely be quite uncomfortable with the heat and insects. We have gone down a couple times during those months and it was certainly not pleasant at all trying to sleep in a hot tent while getting attacked by voracious mosquitoes and biting flies. I can't wait to make the trip down there again this year!
