This spring I grabbed my bag of potatoes from the pantry, only to find that they were desperately trying to grow! They had sent out big sprouts, and rather than throw them away, I cut them up and stuck them'm in a big pot and put them out on the

The vines were quite green and lush all summer, but had turned yellow a few weeks ago and finally shriveled and died. I dumped the pot...not expecting much, but I actually got enough potatoes for a few meals! Not bad for for grocery store potatoes from Aldi's!
It was fun to know that even though I no longer am able to garden, I can still grow things!
