The prostate is that part of every man that needs proper monitoring to prevent the development of prostate cancer. The lower the Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) level in the blood, the better for the health of the prostate. Although there isn't a specific normal or abnormal level of PSA in the blood, but most doctors have in the past considered PSA levels of 4.0 ng/mL and lower as being normal.
Steemitsonians, today, I begin a new blog on food and diets that can help improve significantly, prostate health. This is not only for men, it is also for women who want to do more to help their spouses live in good health. Pomegranate and Guava Smoothie
Ingredients
- 300 ml pomegranate juice,
- 410g tin guava, drained and with the seed removed
- 1 medium ripe banana
Put the juice and fruit together in a blender and blend until very smooth.
To reach the desired consistency, you can blend in a little extra pomegranate juice if needed.
Now pour the smoothie in a glass cup and enjoy!
Please note
You can also use pomegranate fruits and guava fruits to make this smoothie. If you are sure of the horse power of your blender, you may not worry too much about the guava seeds but it is always advisable to take them out. Make sure they are ripe and soft. The pomegranate seeds are quite rich in nutrients, so you can blend all of that together without taking them out.

You can snack on this smoothie anytime. Pomegranates are a very good source of polyphenols which are known to help slow down the growth of cancer cells in humans, including prostate cancer buy reducing cell growth and tumor size.
