So it's no secret that the vegan and plant based community on here is still pretty small - but that's okay. I have a theory that it's got more to do with the fact we don't know each other, than that we're not here. So to help kick start a group, here's a list of five people you should definitely follow if you're powered by plants.
Jac, or 'The Vegetarian Baker', has over 42,000 subscribers on YouTube, so it's possible that this is a name you've heard before. From what Jac has posted so far, it is easy to see why he's accumulated such a large following. If you like beautiful photos of vegan food accompanying delicious vegan recipes, then head over to @vegetarianbaker and click 'follow'.
Andres' blog has a very different vibe to Jac's, but it's just as important and just as interesting. @mrdlucksfitness gives tips on vegan bodybuilding as well as giving guidelines of how to get enough protein. He's also a pretty prolific content producer, so you can be quite sure his posts will show up on your feed.
Kerri's post on how to make these cinnamon rolls reeled in the upvotes, and for good reason. All you have to do is look at the photos to see that this is good food. She also resteems a lot of good content, so if you're wanting to see new vegan content, follow @kerrismiles.
Kenny's Kitchen isn't just a vegan blog, but it has some really good vegan posts. This recipe for pakoras doesn't only look delicious, but is so clearly laid out that it's easy to follow too. He's also done a post on how to make soy-free 'Soy Sauce', so if you're a 'free from' vegan, following @kennyskitchen might be worth your while.
Going by the name Herbivorous Chimp, this blog posts vegan content that is more to do with vegan news than vegan food. He talks about things like new vegan documentaries, as well as things like the Liberation Pledge. If you want to keep up with what's going on in the vegan world, @vincent4384 can help.
And finally...
ME!
Although I'm just starting out, I'm very eager to engage on Steemit, the vegan community in particular. I will be posting some more vegan stuff so if this sounds like your thing, give me a follow. If not, that's fine, but definitely check out some of the names above (y)
