Before performing auscultation on the breath, we should first review of the anatomy of the respiratory system. Inspection is useful to examine the flow of air through the bronchial in order to evaluate the presence of liquid or solid obstruction in the lungs. To evaluate pulmonary condition, the examiner mengauskultasi normal breath sounds, breath sounds and sound Additional sound.



Evaluation of normal breath sounds indicated by assessing the movement of air through the pulmonary system and to identify any abnormal sound. This is done by placing the diaphragm of the stethoscope on the chest wall and instruct the patient to breathe and take it out slowly with your mouth open. Auscultation should be done systematically, from one side to the other, from top to bottom, to the anterior, posterior and lateral. Normal breath sounds vary depending on location. Normal breath sounds are categorized into 3 categories: bronchial, bronchovesikular, and vesicular.
