Since I was publishing an article earlier today on how to make your own bone broth (and more dishes from one chicken), I thought it a good time to share one of our podcast episodes with you.
Emily Gerde shares in this podcast the reasoning behind the food choices she and her husband make for their family.
They love to grow as much of their greens and other vegetables in their garden as they can. But all of us who have gardening experience know that it is not always easy to grow all we need.
When Emily and her family buy produce, they like to shop with local farmers either at a Farmer's Market or at a store that carries local produce.
Why many these days choose a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, Family Gerde does eat meat. They make sure that the animals are raised in a healthy environment and fed with GMO-free feed and are allowed to forage.
In the podcast, Emily talks about many more choices they made which might be useful to many families.
