Many people have come to that point where they have realized that living the life that is not true, does not in any way bring fulfillment to them. They have realized that they need to step out of the shadows and be bold enough to stand up to face reality. They also accept the fact that they may never be able to enjoy peace and freedom until they break off the shackles that has kept them bound. Yet, they remain bound. They are still hidden in the fear of what people may think and so, they keep procrastinating.
They keep telling themselves that it’s okay to live in the shadows for another minute, another day, another month, another year. They are too afraid to step out of their comfort zone of mediocrity and conformity and embrace the fullness of whom they are.
There is no better day to act and do the right thing for yourself. Today is all you have got and you have to live your life to the fullest. Yesterday is gone and regrets should remain in the past, and tomorrow is unsure. Mother Nature has given to you the gift of today and all that you need to do is wake up and be the best, original version of you. Will you waste this time living a conspicuous life? Will you waste this time being a caricature of another person? You have got all it takes and the world is waiting to be blessed by your presence – the presence of your unique being.
You don’t have to wait until tomorrow or next year, no, you can wake up from your slumber, dust your past off your back and get on revealing the awesomeness of your personality. The wait until tomorrow, the time is NOW! Today is the perfect day to re-invent yourself. The moment I realized and accepted that I was stuck with myself forever and that the only way I could attain happiness and fulfillment in my life is to live life on my own terms, to define myself and to live true to myself, that very moment, I took a bold and conscious step out from the dark and truly live.
I didn’t wait another minute. I didn’t push the thought aside. I was too excited to meet this new me that I leaped for joy at the thought of finally being free and finally calling the shots of my life. It was a liberating time for me.
