I'm on a diet and I eat fast food ❓❕ 🍔🍕🍟😋

Everyone likes "fast food", I also ;-)  You don't have to give up fast food when you want to eat healthy! I have a recipe for a healthy burger for you. Enjoy!

What we need to make health burger: 

  • red kidney bean cutlets
  • avocado sauce
  • tomato puree (tomato paste)
  • red onion
  • pickled cucumbers 
  • lettuce or cabbage of your choice 
  • wholemeal or gluten-free rolls

RED KIDNEY BEAN BURGERS:

Ingredients: 

  • 220 g or 1 can of red kidney beans 
  • ¼ glass of brown rice 
  • 1⁄3 glass of sunflower seeds
  • ¼ glass of paddy sesame
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • ½ teaspoon of cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • A pinch of chilli
  • 2 pinches of Himalayan salt
  • A pinch of pepper 

Preparation: 

Cook rice in salted water. Roast sunflower seeds and sesame in a dry frying pan. Put red kidney beans into a bowl and blend into a smooth paste. Add the cooked rice, sesame, sunflower seeds, finely chopped onion and garlic, as well as all the spices. Form cutlets in your hands. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for approx. 30 minutes at 180oC. After 15 minutes you can turn the cutlets to the other side.  

AVOCADO SAUCE

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • juice from half a lime 
  • a small clove of garlic
  • a pinch of Himalayan salt
  • a handful of chopped coriander 

Preparation: 

Drizzle the avocado with lime juice and crush it with a fork. Mix with chopped garlic and coriander. Season with a pinch of salt.


 


Let's making a burgers!

Cut the rolls in half and roast until warm and crispy. Then, spread tomato puree over the rolls, add some lettuce, a warm cutlet, avocado sauce, sliced onion and sliced pickled cucumber. So yummy!
