Hello and welcome to my weekly Hip Hop column, this time I'm dealing with a band I've never heard before. A tip from @vandigital named Mode 9, a rapper born in Great Britain, but the origin of his parents, Osun State in Nigeria, is his home.
The tracks I've heard from him so far are very energetic and cheerful sounding songs with his somewhat reggae style. ModeNine is also known for his foundation in BoomBap and has a credible catalog to back it up.
But there are also many serious titles by him, such as "Lagos State Of Mind" or "Elbow Room".
But just listen to it for yourself.

Hallo und herzlich Willkommen zu meiner wöchentlichen Hip Hop Kolumne, dieses mal beschäftige ich mich mit einer Band die ich noch nie gehört habe. Ein Tipp von @vandigital mit Namen Mode 9, ein Rapper der in Groß Britannien geboren wurde, aber die Herkunft seiner Eltern, Osun State in Nigeria, als seine Heimat angibt.
Die Tracks die ich bisher von ihm gehört habe sind sehr energetisch und fröhlich klingende Songs mit seinem etwas Reggea angehauchten style gerappt.
