On this day in 1881, one of the world's greatest and most influential artist, Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain.
In his lifetime, Picasso's work numbered over 50,000 paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, and ceramics. A feat he achieved in an 80 year period.
A son of a professor of drawing, Picasso had his first art exhibition at the age of 13 and painted till he died at the age of 91.
