There are many lessons that a parent should teach their children. Some are basic, and others can be more random. This would probably be a more random lesson.
For those of you who do not already know, @papa-pepper also runs an alt-account under the username @little-peppers. The purpose of this other account is to document family adventures and activities while using it as an investment opportunity for the future of my @little-peppers.
I am about to make a couple posts from that account about some times that we got to meet and hang out with a couple of guys who are basically famous in some circles. I believe that opportunities like that are chances to teach my children that other people are real people, even if they happen to be famous.
When we are young, we have no idea where life will take us or where we will one day wind up. Whether we become rich or poor, famous or unknown, or powerful or weak, it is important for us to understand who we are, and to remember who others are.
No matter what level of “social status,” fame, or fortune that any of us reach, or anyone else reaches, it should not negate our humanity. By having my @little-peppers interact with all sorts of different individuals, it gives them the opportunity to learn this from a very young age.
One of the posts we will be sharing is based more upon a few “meet and greets” with the same musician, and some background on him and why we choose to listen to his music. The other story we will be sharing is an incredible adventure deep into the earth with a very talented man.
