It has already been 4 months since the launching of UPVU Earn, which allows Steemians to collect ETH & BNB as an accrual investment method through STEEM staking or SP delegation.
From the initial planning of UPVU Earn, a key goal has been to enable STEEM holders to collect Bitcoin as well. And the most efficient way to accumulate a small amount of SAT was using Lightning Network - Bitcoin's Layer 2 off-chain solution.
Distributing BTC as SATs utilizing the Lightning Network is expected to take more time to develop due to some stability issues. However, since now is the best time to accumulate Bitcoin. So we are launching BTC Earn based on the BSC(BNB Smart Chain).

HOW TO USE
➊ First, log in to https://upvu.org/ and then access Wallet - Earn. Alternatively, you can access it directly by entering your account name in the link below.

➋ After connecting the BNB Smart Chain wallet with Metamask, click the [Save] button to complete the wallet connection.
If a pop-up appears asking if you want to allow the network to switch to Arbitrum One as above, **just clock the [Cancel] button.
➌ (In case of SP delegation) After clicking the [Select] tab at the bottom of Deposit SP, select BTC, and click the [Delegate] button to select the amount to delegate and sign.
➍ (In case of STEEM deposit) Click the [Select] tab at the bottom of Deposit Steem, select BTC, and click the [Transfer] button to transfer STEEM.
➎ Adding BTC by clicking [Import Token] at the bottom of the Metamask screen is convenient for checking and transferring tokens later.
➏ Paste the BNB Smart Chain BTC contract address below into the token contract address field

[NOTE] The token symbol of BTC on the BNB Smart Chain is BTCB, which can be deposited on Binance Exchange at any time.
What's Next?
(1) Migration to the Lightning Network
As mentioned above, it is best to use the Lightning Network for Bitcoin rather than Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain, and Binance is expected to support Lightning Network deposits and withdrawals in the near future.
In the future, BTC Earn will be operated based on the Lightning Network, and detailed information on wallet download, wallet registration, and how to use will be provided in a separate post.
(2) TRX Earn is Coming!
In addition, TRX, currently ranked 10th by market cap following BTC, ETH, and BNB, will be updated as a token supported by the next UPVU Earn. In the case of TRX, which all Steemians have wallets, we plan to provide a swap function between TRX and STEEM as well as UPVU Earn so that US users who have difficulty trading STEEM on the exchange can easily trade through TRX. .
