Kadim's journey was an experiment in many ways: I myself have never written anything that didn't have a plot, a concept, a predefined thread from the beginning... Just go for it and at the end one sees where it leads - I found it exciting myself ;-))
Whether a serialised story is at all suitable for a blog format like the Steem was also not entirely clear to me at first. I found the continuity (without real constraint) pleasant; it reminded me of episodes that earlier used to be printed in daily newspapers on Fridays, for example. Actually, the same principle by which TV series work nowadays...
Well, I enjoyed writing it, I can see that there were some votes and a few comments... What I can't estimate: who followed Kadim at all? How many people read his adventures? How many times were the posts really clicked...?
@alexmove, as far as I know, has not yet made any progress in implementing a click rate counter and @o1eh once mentioned in passing that such a counter would probably not be desired by some developers for certain reasons...
So I have to ask you directly: who would like to oute themselves as a reader? And while we're at it: who might have suggestions for improvement? Who would like to offer an alternative storyline? Who would like to expand on individual characters or events in a more specific way? Who would like to take a closer look at the text itself - in terms of language, content, sociology...? Who picks up on one of the many potentially expandable topics: magic, witches, time travel, karma, group dynamics, …?
each contribution that deals with Kadim's journey in this way (in any form) within the Dream Steem Community will be rewarded with 2 STEEM from my private wallet! The community account has worked hard and will be fed up a little over the summer ;-))
Please use the established tag #kadimsjourney - all posts can then be viewed and sorted at a glance: just click on this tag in a Kadim post, sort the results by time and you will find from the announcement to the end and hopefully beyond many contest entries in chronological order..:!
The promotion is open-ended and has nothing to do with the duration of this announcement: let's start doing some real text work! Let's write with each other! I look forward to every creative idea, to every surprise!
Due to the occasion, I would like to take the liberty of making a small reference to our set of rules: regardless of the language in which you publish your articles - please attach your own English version! It really helps with fiction texts if the author provides the translation himself; he can better take responsibility for the wordplay, idioms and possible ambiguities used and his work is perceived by the reader as more coherent...
So: feel free to experiment yourself!

Einen wunderschönen sonnigen Tag gewünscht!
Kadims Reise war in vielerlei Hinsicht ein Experiment: ich selber habe noch nie etwas geschrieben, was nicht von vornherein einen Plot hatte, ein Konzept, einen vorgegebenen Faden… Einfach so drauf los und am Ende sieht man, wo es hinführt – ich empfand es selbst als spannend ;-))
Ob eine Fortsetzungsgeschichte überhaupt tauglich ist für ein Blogformat wie den Steem, war mir auch zunächst nicht völlig klar. Die Kontinuität (ohne echten Zwang) fand ich angenehm; ich erinnerte mich dabei an solche Episoden, die früher z.B. immer freitags in Tageszeitungen abgedruckt waren. Eigentlich das gleiche Prinzip, nach dem heutzutage TV-Serien funktionieren…
Nun, ich hatte Freude beim Schreiben, ich kann überblicken, daß es einige Votes gab und ein paar Kommentare… Was ich nicht einschätzen kann: wer hat denn Kadim überhaupt verfolgt? Wie viele Leute haben seine Abenteuer gelesen? Wie oft wurden die Posts wirklich angeklickt…?
@alexmove hat meines Wissens bislang noch keinen Fortschritt gemacht bei der Implementierung eines Clickraten-Zählers und @o1eh erwähnte einst nebenbei, daß ein solcher wohl aus bestimmten Gründen von einigen Entwicklern gar nicht gewünscht wäre…
Also muß ich Euch direkt fragen: wer outet sich als Leser? Und weil wir gerade dabei sind: wer hat vielleicht Verbesserungsvorschläge? Wer möchte einen alternativen Handlungsverlauf anbieten? Wer mag eventuell einzelne Personen oder Ereignisse spezifischer ausbauen? Wer setzt sich ggf. mit dem Text an sich auseinander – sprachlich, inhaltlich, soziologisch…? Wer greift eins der vielen möglicherweise ausbaufähigen Themen auf: Magie, Hexen, Zeitreisen, Karma, Gruppendynamiken, …
jeder Beitrag, der sich innerhalb der Dream Steem Community auf diese Art und Weise (in beliebiger Form) mit Kadims Reise auseinandersetzt, wird mit 2 STEEM aus meiner privaten Börse belohnt! Der Community Account hat sich tüchtig verausgabt und wird den Sommer über ein wenig aufgepäppelt ;-))
Bitte benutzt dabei den etablierten tag #kadimsjourney – alle Beiträge sind dann auf einen Blick zu erfassen und sortierbar: klickt in einem Kadim-Post einfach auf diesen tag, sortiert die Ergebnisse nach Zeit und Ihr findet von der Ankündigung bis zum Ende und darüber hinaus hoffentlich viele Wettbewerbsbeiträge in chronologischer Reihenfolge..:!
Die Aktion läuft zeitlich unbefristet und hat nichts mit der Laufzeit dieser Ankündigung zu tun: laßt uns anfangen, echte Textarbeit zu machen! Laßt uns miteinander schreiben! Ich freue mich auf jede kreative Idee, auf jede Überraschung!
Aus gegebenem Anlaß erlaube ich mir noch einen kleinen Hinweis auf unser Regelwerk: unabhängig von der Sprache, in der Ihr Eure Artikel veröffentlicht – fügt bitte eine eigene englische Version bei! Es hilft bei belletristischen Texten wirklich, wenn der Autor die Übersetzung selber liefert; er kann die Verantwortung für verwendete Wortspiele, Redewendungen und mögliche Doppeldeutigkeiten besser übernehmen und seine Arbeit wird vom Leser als stimmiger wahrgenommen...
Also: fühlt Euch frei, selber launig zu experimentieren!
