INTRODUCTION |
The fact that in 365 days of the year, only a day (June 18th) is separated to celebrate fathers is touching. We all know the roles Dads play in our lives, hence should be celebrated every day as heroes. For that, I appreciate @solaymann for the opportunity for us to celebrate our Dads our way with the contest "My Dad is the Best" and this here is my entry.

Nowadays, we always get to hear about mother’s love and praise for our mothers, they deserve that but we often ignore father’s love. We continually fail to recognize the strength of a father, forgetting not many have the blessing of a father in their lives.
Although, It wouldn't also be right to say that every Dad is an ideal hero to their kids. Nevertheless, I can testify that my father without any doubt is the best and ideal person for a role model.
Being a young man myself, this confidence is established on the grounds of the love he has shown nor that I have for him, but rather because of his morality as a person.

My Dad is my best teacher, as he helps me not only with my studies but also with life troubles. He taught me to always respect the opinion of others and have a giving spirit.
Above all, he is indeed the best as he prioritizes family over anything, encouraging us to love one another and even our neighbours and to live life freely with everyone within and outside the family. So tell me, what more can I ask for again? If he can do all this and still provide for the needs of the family? Truly, my father is the best for me.

Mr Samuel (my father) was born in the town of Peremabiri in Bayelsa state Nigeria, in the year 1970, making him 53 years of age. Not much of an old man as I thought, by the look of things.
My dad is a dietician by profession but in a country where the unemployment rate is high, in other not to stay idle, he works as a site engineer for building works. A hobby he learnt in his school days, he is also a lover of God as he teaches the good Word.

When it comes to academic work, I won't say he is the best at it, but yes he teaches just fine in life school, He is and will always be the best teacher I can ever ask for.

The academic work part is that he's not always around much due to his type of work, but in life school, he's not just a teacher but a role model.
He has instilled in all of us his children that generosity is a gift of the heart and mind, not the state of one's wallet. He is the knowledge package of the house as we all seek advice and tutelage from him in any aspect of life we find ourselves.
How to express your gratitude to your father? |

The best way to express one's gratitude to parents is by making them proud parents as so goes for my dad. Learning and applying what he has taught me.
It is said that there is no greater joy for a father other than seeing his son prosper in all aspects of life. With that, the giving of gifts becomes secondary, if a son is not doing well as taught by the parents, then your gifts mean nothing to him.

Another form of gratitude is spending time with them when the need be. This gives him the impression you care as he cared for you. Nothing beats family time together, and for this reason, I do play Scrabble (which he taught me how to play) with my dad once in a while giving us our father-son moment.
CONCLUSION |
I think our fathers have all that it takes to be called best among the rest. I adore how my Dad manages his professional and personal life. I watched my father become formidable, in tough situations and gentle in suitable situations. For this, I say he is the best and aspire to be just like him. So yes, for me, my dad is the best, I don't know about you.
