Greetings to everyone! Water is a very important part of our life. Sometimes it is not only necessary but also very beautiful.
This place which is situated in Thailand is one of the most amazing places that I have ever seen in my life though I really saw a lot. This is the 3rd cascade of the Erawan Waterfall.
The waterfall Erawan got its name from Indian mythology. The Goddess Indira had an elephant with 33 heads. Since 33 heads are too many, it is customary in art and literature to describe this elephant with 3 heads.
The waterfall itself consists of 7 levels, it is formed by 2 rivers Omtala and Monglai. This level of the waterfall is the most impressive. Its name is Pha Nam Tog. The water here is unusually clear, and its color is emerald and turquoise. The color of the waterfall is like this because there are deposits of calcium carbonate here. The waterfall itself looks like a wall of water, rapidly falling down from a 10-meter height.
The total length of this waterfall is about 2 thousand meters. Each of the 7 tiers has its own water color. There are always a lot of tourists here, because you can swim and sunbathe on each tier of the waterfall.
Usually tourists reach only this tier, the fact is that the road to the waterfall levels goes up sharply, the bright sun is tiring , and people no longer have the strength to go higher and higher. We have passed all 7 levels, but once again I would like to underline that this tier is the most picturesque. The jungle stretches around, and it seems that there is no modern civilization in sight. Only nature and you.
People from Thailand are very careful about their natural resources, for example, on the way to the 3rd level of the waterfall there is an ecological office where you have to leave all your things, food and drinks so as not to litter the nature.
There are things in the world so beautiful that it is difficult to describe them in words, but at least there are photos! I am glad that I was able to take a good photo of this waterfall to share its beauty with you. But, if there is an opportunity, then, of course, it is better to get there and see this waterfall with your own eyes.
Thank you Steem-Travelers for this wonderful contest, as always the topic is very interesting.
