He is an international media entertainment professional with more than 25 years of working experience, an experienced screen writer and movie producer. He is also a blogger here on Steem blog. : Hi Robin, welcome to my show. How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Well, people cal me The Screen Addict because I am completely obsessed with everything that happens on the screen - film, series, new media you name it.

: How did you first hear about Steemit?

🔶Thescreenaddict : I was watching “The Anarchists”, a documentary on HBO Max. The people featured in that series were pretty avid users of the platform, so I got curious and checked it out.

: What was your initial impression of the platform?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Lots of rules and unnecessarily complicated. But great potential!

: What is the best thing about Steemit?

🔶Thescreenaddict : The fact that you can generate an income with your content.

: What are some lapses you would like to see improved on Steemit?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Make it less complicated. I still don’t quite understand how the “achievements” work and why you need them.

: What has been the best TV show you have ever hosted or enjoyed watching?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Fiction or non-fiction? Fiction is Breaking Bad, non-fiction probably 90 Day Fiancé.

: What inspire you to enter movie career?

🔶Thescreenaddict : I saw E.T. in a movie theater when I was 5 years old and I’ve been a Screen Addict ever since.

: How was soap opera like in your early age in life?

🔶Thescreenaddict : In my native country The Netherlands we had a show called “Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden” when I was young (it translates roughly to “Good Times, Bad Times” in English). There wasn’t much else to watch at the time (late Eighties, early Nineties), so we watched it religiously. The show still exists today.

: What does it takes to produce a movie for the public?

🔶Thescreenaddict : An idea that can be summed up in one or two lines. It should immediately and simultaneously engage, be understood and suspend disbelief.

: How about we run a collaboration on Steem TV, do you think we can create something like that in the Steemit blog mainly for entertainment and educational purposes?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Absolutely!

: What do you think can be done to encourage it?

🔶Thescreenaddict : I have a huge network on LinkedIn which I could engage.

: Who's blog do you like reading?

🔶Thescreenaddict : On Steemit? I like @soulfuldreamer, @theluvbug and @event-horizon.

: * If you were to feature a Gen-Z movie star , who would that be?*

🔶Thescreenaddict : Maybe Kylie Jenner, but it’s not really my generatio.

: How many movie stars have you worked with since the beginning of your carrier in the movie industry?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Dozens and dozens. Maybe 100+.

: Which top movie star do you ever feel proud and fulfill in working with in the movie industry?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Arnold Schwarzenegger and Keanu Reeves were by far the nicest and most interesting movie stars I’ve ever met and worked with.

: What do you believe is the most important quality to have as a producer?

🔶Thescreenaddict : A good instinct for great material (or a great instinct for good material).

: * If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would that be?*

🔶Thescreenaddict : Ban all weapons, big and small. From knives to pistols to assault rifles to nuclear bombs - everything should be banned.

: Apart from movie production, what do you like doing in your leisure?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Read books, travel, play video games.

---

: Which sweet memory from your childhood will you never forget and what was it?

🔶Thescreenaddict : Again - seeing E.T. in the movie theater at five years old.

: What's your favourite music?
