The Interview Showcase #48 - Exclusive Talk withSteem4blogger Admin/Medical student

Hello,

It's The Interview Showcase!!!. with your host ubongudofot. This is the 48th Edition of “The Interview Showcase...." and my 18th show for 2023!

A lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that can help other users to understand the blockchain and correctly make use of it. Sometimes they seek some valuable suggestions here which can help them solve some of their challenges.

This week, I spoke with @steemdoctor1 from Pakistan on a video call and It was great to talk about many topics that might really interest you. Steemdoctor is one of the admins in the Steem4bloggers community and a moderator in the SteemitCryptoAcademy.

Ubongudofot
: .Hi steemdoctor, nice to have you on my show, why did you choose this username?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Hello, the great man, @ubongudofot. First of all, thanks a lot for inviting me here to your Interview Showcase. Talking about my username, I have shared many times in my blogs that I have had a dream to be a doctor since childhood. And so, my name is the reflection of this great dream. I wish to achieve this dream and I am happy that I'm very much close to it.

Besides the Steemit platform, I always prefer a username like that on the other platforms where I have to create an account. I always prefer to add words like doc, dr, doctor or so in the prefixes. The reason is to remind me time by time about the important dream that I had in childhood.

Ubongudofot
: That's interesting..

Ubongudofot
: How would you describe your experience on Steemit since you Join and when exactly did you join?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Well, I joined the platform in July 2021 and I am about to complete my 2 years at the platform. My experience on the Steemit platform is super cool so far and I would like to say thanks to the whole Steemit team for always supporting me. I believe that Steemit is the best platform to monetize your creative content and besides that, it also helps us a lot to learn about the cultures and traditions of different parts of the world, interact with new friends, and so on.

Ubongudofot
: What has been your biggest achievement since you joined the Steemit platform?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Since I joined the platform, I have been working hard to get success here. Alhamdulillah, I have achieved many things at the platform like I am a successful and good blogger, I am a good team manager and also the leader of my Steem4Bloggers community.

But if I would talk about my biggest achievement so far then it is the title of the "Best Author of the Year 2022". It is the result of the hard work that I have done in the previous year and I hope that I will keep doing smart work for the betterment of the platform and achieving more amazing things.

Ubongudofot
: What is your most embarrassing moment in the blog?

🔶Steemdoctor1: I don't have that experience so far on the platform which I could call an embarrassing moment. But one thing that I would like to mention here is the power down of our health-related community leader which has happened recently. It was really disappointing for me.

Ubongudofot
:What is your greatest fear?

🔶Steemdoctor1: I don't have any such fear. But of course, there are some things that always make me fearful when I think about them. One of those things is that if unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to achieve my dream of being a doctor. In fact, time management is my greatest fear in this regard because sometimes I feel very much difficult when dividing my time between studies and the platform. But I am happy that most of the time, I have good time management skills.

Ubongudofot
: If steemit was to be your own, what do you think you can do to eliminate abuse?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Unfortunately, different kinds of abuses have been seen on the platform recently like account farming, identity theft, content farming, AI and plagiarized content. And the proper action against such abuses is very much important. So, if I would be the owner of Steemit I would also do my best to eliminate the abuses by taking strict action against the abusers. If the abusers are left free then it can encourage more abusers to do wrong.

Ubongudofot
: Most users from Pakistan seem to hide their identity, do you think this is also giving access to more abusers from there to take advantage?

🔶Steemdoctor1: I think, most of the users that seem to hide their identity are actually the girls who do not show their identity due to religious limitations. I am saying so because I personally know some girls from Pakistan who work actively but don't show their identity publicly.

However, if I would talk about the boys then I don't think they need to hide their identity because if they will show their identity regularly on their blogs then it would help the Steemit team to fight against the abusers.

Moreover, if someone is caught doing abuse then he/she must have to face strict action from the team because it is the only way to reduce the abuse practices from the platform.

Ubongudofot
: I see...

Ubongudofot
: What do you think Pakistan users need to do in other to stand out?

🔶Steemdoctor1:The most important thing that I would like to say here is that Pakistani users should prefer practical blogs instead of theoretical blogs in order to stand out. However, smart work and consistency is the main thing which is very much important to get success. I have seen many users who lose hope at the start and don't continue their journey so I would say that nothing happens at a turn, we have to do hard work in order to make the time in our favour.

Ubongudofot
: How many communities do you have in Pakistan and what's the main aim of creating many of them?

🔶Steemdoctor1: There are four communities in our country Pakistan. The first is the Steem4Bloggers bloggers community and I am the founder of this community. The main concern of this community is with the fintech theme but we have also added some general themes like diary games in our community to improve the activity of the users.

The second one is the Steem For Pakistan community which supports the content creators of different categories, the third one is Steem Fashion & Style which deals with modern fashion and lifestyle themes. And then the Urdu Community which deals with the content creators of our native language Urdu.

Ubongudofot
: As a medical student, how do you balance your academic activities with your steemit activities?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Being a medical student, it is not easy to manage all the things at the same time but I am happy that I am able to manage my time in the best way. I am a studious student from the beginning so I always prefer my studies over any other thing. But Steemit has a great importance in my life so I have to manage time for the platform equally.

In the past 3 to 4 months, I was not much busy with academics that's why I was able to manage the time easily but the upcoming 2-3 months are very much important for me regarding my medical studies so it would be somehow difficult for me to manage much time. But I will try my best to make an effective schedule to take both things equally.

Ubongudofot
: Some weeks ago, one of the admins in a community that you were serving as a moderator powered down and possibly will power down the community account, do you think something can do to stop actions like this in community account?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Ah! it was a very disappointing moment for all of us especially the team members of the STEEMIT HEALTH community because we have worked very hard for the growth of the community at the early stages. Of course, it is possible that she will power down the community account as well and we can do nothing to stop the power down because we never had the keys other than posting the key of the community account.

So, I and other members of the team have stopped supporting the community anymore and we are planning to establish a new community on the health theme because it is a need of the time. To avoid such things in future, the Steemit team should support only those communities where the administration and moderators are verified at the time of joining the community and also, the fair distribution of community keys should be an effective way.

Ubongudofot
: Maybe Multisigs could be a solution to that...

Ubongudofot
Very little number of users seem to participate in the crypto Academy contests, as a moderator, what do you think is the cause of low participation?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Yes, we have seen that many of the users feel it difficult to participate in the crypto academy contests and one of the main reasons is that the academy contests need more effort as compared to other contests and challenges. But, Steemians should be aware of the benefits that they can get by participating in the academy contests because according to me, Crypto Academy is the best learning space on the Steemit platform.

Ubongudofot
: As a member of Stmpak witness, what can you say about Stmpak.witness contribution to the blog?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Well, stmpak.wit is the first ever witness from our country Pakistan that's why we always support it. Talking about its contributions, the main purpose of this witness was to help needy people through charity and we have also done some charity activities.

Moreover, our main focus is on the development of the Steemit platform. We have already developed the SteemDapps website where users can get access to all steem related dApps in one place. Our developer is also working on the Steem Chat tool where Steemians can instantly chat with each other. This tool is under development.

Ubongudofot
: .What movie would you watch a whole day without being tired?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Movies are the most important part of my daily routine and I have watched many movies so far. I watch movies of different categories like technology, action, romance and comedy but the best movie that impressed me a lot is Money Heist web series by Netflix which is actually a story of two great heists that occurred in Spain. The character, Professor impressed me a lot in this series.

Ubongudofot
:What is the most memorable gift you have received?

🔶Steemdoctor1: There are so many gifts that I have received so far and they are of great importance in my life but the most memorable gift that I have received was the laptop which was given to me by my father on the completion of my matriculation exams. It was actually the reward for my flying colours in the exams and it is memorable for me because I use that laptop on a daily basis even now and it's working smoothly.

Ubongudofot
: Do you like Music and what your kind of music?

🔶Steemdoctor1: I am a very great music lover and I do many activities while listening to music. Even, I create my blogs for the Steemit platform while listening to different songs depending on my mood. But most of the time, I listen to those songs whose lyrics are good and touch my heart it doesn't matter if it is an English song, Urdu song or Punjabi song. My favourite song at this time is " Shayad" by my favourite singer Arijit Singh.

Ubongudofot
: Whose blog do you enjoy reading?

🔶Steemdoctor1: There are many bloggers on the platform who admire me a lot. One user I like most of his content is @kouba01. He is a very hard-working and talented blogger and I like his writing skills. Moreover, I learned a lot from his crypto-related lectures some time ago when I was a student and he was the professor at the crypto academy.

Ubongudofot
: What is one beautiful thing about Pakistan you will like to share?

🔶Steemdoctor1: The natural beauty of Pakistan is the most beautiful thing that I would like to share with you. Pakistan is full of natural beauty, especially in the Northern areas of Pakistan there are many valleys, lakes and mounts which are praiseworthy.

Ubongudofot
: Who will you like me to feature on my show and why?

🔶Steemdoctor1: There are many hard-working Steemians that should be featured on this show because this can help other users to learn more about those hard-working and success Steemians. I would like to see my dear friend @simonnwigwe on this show because he is a very active Steemian from your country Nigeria and his work is really admirable. So, I would like to learn more about him through an episode of this show.

Ubongudofot
: If you were to have a meeting with the whales, what possible strategies would you list that can help eliminate more fake accounts /abusers activities?

🔶Steemdoctor1: Alright, one thing that I would like to put before the whales of the platform is that they should prefer the practical content while curating the posts because this will help us to reduce the number of account farmers who are using many number accounts and receiving support on just theoretical blogs. Moreover, it is very much important to verify the identity of the users before giving them key roles like community curators, SRs and so, to reduce the ratio of fake accounts from the platform.

Ubongudofot
: What can you say about the Interview showcase?*

🔶Steemdoctor1: Personally, I like this initiative very much because this showcase helps Steemian to get to know more about the users which inspired them on the platform. Also, this showcase helps us to learn about different cultures and traditions of different parts of the world. Moreover, we get to know about the ideas and feedback of other Steemians on different initiatives by the Steemit team. Overall, it is a super cool initiative by you I really appreciate it.
