Welcome to the 78th edition of “The interview showcase...." and my 2nd show for 2024.
If you are new to this page, this lifestyle program has many educational values. A weekly interview of users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.
It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.
I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.
They also share some tips that can help other users understand the blockchain and correctly use it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.
On this week's show,I featured @marpa the person who does the little cartoon drawings in her posts which stand out to be unique. She is from Columbia and just last week, she won the award of the Steemit 2023 best author of the year. She loves dogs just like me.

🔶Marpa : @marpa is a creative, dreamy person who always seeks to put her own original touch on everything she does, who respects animals and the environment and who enjoys being at home.
🔶Marpa : Steemit has been very important for me, I started in 2017, the process was not easy because I did not know what to publish, I started with some pictures of my dog Waldo and over time, I was writing my own stories. When Thediarygame was born, I realized that diaries can be very boring, because the days are very similar and that's when I thought of creating pleasant diaries, with images that capture the reader's attention. My experience has been one of learning, sometimes I have had times of feeling that I am not achieving anything, but Steemit always shows me that it is possible to move forward.
🔶Marpa : I find it very nice to leave our memories saved in the Blockchain and I wanted to do it in a nice way, for that reason, I started making animated gifs. Don't think it was easy, this was a good learning for me, because I had to start creating my own images and organize them into videos and then convert them into gifs. The result is beautiful, funny, sometimes tender and different, that's what makes my publications have something special, the animated gifs.
🔶Marpa : I use the Inshot application, in this I make a short video that I then convert to gif at https://www.img2go.com/es, in addition I use the Ibispaint application to design my own drawings, a doll that represents me, which always wears a purple dress and changes her outfit depending on the occasion.
🔶Marpa : I also ask myself the same question heh, heh, because there are some great people here. I think what has made me stand out among other posts are the animated gifs and that I always try to give more relevance to some special event of the day, such as the preparation of a recipe, an outing with my dogs, or a family reunion. And everything always has between 3 and 6 animated gifs.
🔶Marpa : I felt happy, I felt that the time I invest editing my photos to turn them into gifs was recognized and valued by all the people who make life in Steemit. This is a great award, where one feels that all the effort has been worth it and that after more than 6 years in Steemit, today I have achieved recognition.
🔶Marpa : Always work from originality, do not copy, do not imitate and always seek to make your publications something unique and authentic, something that you would like to read and see for yourself.
🔶Marpa : Dedicating time (making gifs takes time), effort and love to my work. Perseverance is fundamental for any process you decide to undertake in life and enjoy it, it is important to feel happy with what you do.
🔶Marpa : The nominees are made by other users, I don't know how the winners are chosen and as selected, if it seems fair heh, heh, because I was chosen among many and I feel I have worked hard for it.
🔶Marpa : I really like reading my friend @alanasteemit, because her way of writing is very funny, it's as if you were talking to her personally. She has a very colloquial way of narrating things, even, a bad day she narrates it with so much humor, that she always gets my admiration with her work. Definitely one of my favorite blogs.
🔶Marpa : I love to go to the Galeras volcano, for its wonderful landscape and for the strength that volcanoes transmit to us, enigmatic places. I have also visited other nearby volcanoes, but the Galeras Volcano is my favorite because since I was a little girl I grew up watching its fumaroles and I always dreamed of reaching its summit, it is the best place in the world.
🔶Marpa : I have contributed with my originality, always presenting unique images, showing that nice things can be achieved, with a good edition, doing something different. I have invited some friends, who have been enthusiastic about what I have told them, however, after a while, due to lack of time, they decided to leave the platform; additionally, the value of the Colombian peso is quite low, which the generated profits are not compensated with the time invested, that is another reason why they did not continue on the platform.
🔶Marpa : I feel empathy for all animals and dogs are those beings that bring me joy. For several years, I have lived constantly with dogs and I can't imagine life without them, dogs are very important to me, my best company..
🔶Marpa : I am a biologist by profession and I stopped practicing more than 8 years ago. Currently I dedicate my time to baking and selling cookies, as well as selling handicrafts and Steemit, which is my second home.
🔶Marpa : "Hey" by the band "The Pixies", it reminds me of my college days, what good times those were.
🔶Marpa : I would like you to interview @steemcurator01😃 , to know what kind of publications he likes. But, we know that this interview may not be possible 🤷♂️, so it would be nice if you interviewed @alejos7ven a Venezuelan who is always looking for ways to contribute to Steemit and its improvements.
🔶Marpa : A valuable change is that the platform would have plagiarism scanners, which would detect abuse immediately it is published. Verifications for obtaining an account should use biometric data, in order to avoid users with several accounts and to provide greater security to wallets.
🔶Marpa : Pizza, it's the best and it's popular in Colombia and the world 😃
🔶Marpa : Patience, nothing is done overnight, you have to be constant, enjoy what you do and do not let discouragement win. When we start something, many times we will not have support and that will lead us to want to give it up, however, being constant and dedicated at some point will pay off and bring rewards to the effort..
🔶Marpa : My message is of gratitude for having created this space where we publish and at the same time we can generate income, is that in this place there is room for everyone, regardless of language or nationality, also connects us, for example, look at you and me talking, me from Colombia and you from Nigeria, something that if it were not for Steemit would not have been generated. This is a great place, so thanks to them, to their dedication and commitment.
🔶Marpa : It is a valuable space to get to know the users beyond their blogs, and to be able to understand, value and appreciate them, not from their blogs, but from what they are as human beings. Congratulations to Showcase for this special and unique space in Steemit, for being interested and making the authors of this platform known.
