Lise Meitner discovered Protactinium(Pa) -Part1

In August 6th 1945 an aircraft took off on board a weapon with unprecedented devastating power that would make history- it's goal Hiroshima. The discovery of nuclear fission made this possible. Never before in the history of mankind has science created an instrument capable of extinguishing humanity. She felt responsible for developing the American Atom Bomb and also for its use.

Lisa Meitner was hurt and polluted when a reporter wanted to know how does she feel as the mother of the Atomic Bomb. It was not easy for her to cope with the greatest monstrosity that had happened to since her escape from Germany.

The American have dropped this new bomb on the city of Japan, a bomb is based on our knowledge of nuclear fission. L. Meitner was the scientist who discovered a physical process.

She never received a nobel prize but an element on the periodic table was named in her honor.

In 1878 he born in Vienna, the capital of Austria and her family was Jewish. At that time only a few female were allowed to access to higher education and she was one of them. She even obtained a doctorate from university of Vienna. Later she moved to Berlin where she took classes with the physicist and mathematicians. Max Plank who was recognized as the one of great scientists for laying the foundation of quantum theory. She later meet the chemist Otto Hahn with whom she worked for 30 years conducting experiments with nuclear materials. Among these collaborations, the research on the properties of chemo stand out. As well as discovery of Protactinium a metallic element on the periodic table over time both were recognized in scientific community.
