Sri Ram and the power of devotion—him who is the very root of the tree of Dharma, the bliss giving the full moon rising over the sea of discernment, the sun bringing to blossom the lotus of detachment, the dispeller of massive darkness of sin and sufferings born of it, the auspicious and haven-born, the wind scattering the heavy cloud of delusion, the emancipator of the line of brahmans from the stain bought on it by Ravana, that Ram the beloved of all do I adore.

It's part of the Tulsidas Ramayana, the epic story of Sri Ram.

The verse that describes Rama God the Divine in such beautiful terms describes what happens when we think of God. What happens when we think of a greater personally of Rama and contemplate his noble spiritual qualities? What happens is that we start to inherit those qualities; we start to manifest qualities ourselves, so it is an important spiritual practice. So this is part of the power of devotion when we think of the divine. We start to become God's light. We start to imbibe these qualities of the divine.

What is our dharama? If we are divine by our true nature, then what is our dharm to express our true nature simply by starving to manifest the divine, which is already within us?

It is a whole turning of our beings towards manifesting our essential. Essence which is divinity, so here Sriram is being described as root of tree Dharma. A king like Rama it is to be as he was nobel serving his subjects dedicated to truth yet destroying demons.

It is important for us to find what is our own Dharma and we each have our own role to play in life. Ofcourse the highest Dharma of each and everyone of us is to manifest the Devine. But how we are going to do that in life. That's going to be different for each of us.
