Steem is a blockchain form of social media that pays its users. Learn more
Hello everyone! I know I have been starting a lot of communities recently; it is because now is one of the better times to try to build communities on Steem, and I think communities are one of the better ways to spark off chain interest (because they create little niches that people can feel inspired to join).
Recently, the world blew up in more ways than one. On the one hand, the coronavirus has shut down society as we know it. On the other hand, a minecraft YouTuber named Pippen used mods to copy the world's terrain, and building outlines, and sparked a project to recreate the Earth at a 1:1 scale in Minecraft. The project has blown up, and the discord has over 200k users.
My thinking is that if so many people are willing to participate in such a large project for free, why not try to show them a way to earn a little money for their work. So, as a result, I have decided to launch this Steem community where anyone participating in the Build the Earth Minecraft Project can post. For those from off chain, Steem is a blockchain that rewards users for conventional social media actions. If you are interested, there is a link at the top of this article to learn more about Steem.
I do realize that some of the people reading this (on the Steem end) might not be familiar with the project, or how to download the mod pack. In addition, people from both camps might not know how to add on the replay mod. In this post, I will lay out the instructions (given in the discord) for downloading the mod pack, and I will include my own instructions how to add the Replay mod to the pack in order to record your building progress.

Conclusion
Thanks for reading this! I hope you will consider helping to spread the word about the Steem community for this project! I myself will be participating by attempting to build my hometown of West Chester, Pa (we will see how far I get). I hope to see some of your posts out there! Feel free to also use the tag #steembte!
