One of the authors of the Ukrainian community, @luxalok, in his comment asked me about the fate of the Steemit.com translation project into different languages. He would like to join this work to give the site a Ukrainian-language interface.
So what do we know. At one time, the Steemit team was interested in translating the Steemit.com site into different languages, and even thanked the translators for their work. All the translation work was done here:

I wonder if the Steemit team is interested in increasing the number of languages that Steemit.com would be translated into?
Yes, I agree that the site is already translated into most of the most common languages. I also understand that in the era of automatic translators, the language barrier is somewhat erased. But one must understand that the world is different and multifaceted.
If, for example, among German authors, I am sure that no one has problems with the English language, then in other countries the situation is different. For example, in Ukraine, English is not a problem for the younger generation, while most older people do not speak this language at all. When I work as a curator, I come across posts like this, in which the terrible results of automatic translation are published. This means that the author does not understand English at all and is not able to notice the mistakes made by the translator.
Let's look at such a successful project as Wikipedia. It is also created by a community under the overall direction of one team. Here they did not stop at a few languages, but went further and further.
Personally, I believe that in order to gain global popularity, the platform should speak to its authors in their language. Even now, Steemit.com wouldn't hurt to have a German, Bengali, Ukrainian, Hindi interface and many others.
Is it possible to restart the translation project?
I guess, but I don't know for sure, that a new similar project can be created from the translation of Steemit.com. Maybe again on crowdin.com, or maybe on another platform, for example, transifex.com, where I already had experience in the past. But will enough people be interested in it? And who can provide text files for translation?

Even if the community translated Steemit.com into different languages, would anyone be interested in implementing these changes? This is also a big question.
It's worth noting that I think we could find translators who would work for the platform, not for SC01 votes, so such work would not require any resources.
