Fulham Won

Liverpool suffered a sixth straight defeat at their Anfield fiefdom, succumbing 1-0 to Fulham on Sunday to exacerbate the reigning Premier League champions' crisis.

The match preview had focused on Mohamed Salah's anger at being substituted in the loss to Chelsea on Thursday. The week ended worse for the Egyptian striker, hesitant with possession within his own small area. Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina capitalized on the mistake and beat goalkeeper Alisson Becker to score his first goal for Fulham in the 45th minute.

Liverpool had a 68-game unbeaten streak at Anfield for the English league until losing to Burnley in January.

The most recent setback for manager Jurgen Klopp's team left them in seventh place - 22 points behind leaders Manchester City, who later hosted Manchester United.

Fulham grabbed a huge victory in their quest to save themselves from relegation. Only goal difference keeps him in the red zone, although he has played one more match than 17th-place Brighton.

DECLINE

West Bromwich moved closer to relegation after an insipid 0-0 draw against visiting Newcastle, a direct rival in the fight for salvation.

The distribution of points left Brom eight units away from salvation. Newcastle moved up one spot to 16th.
