CONTEST!!! TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOCAL FOOTBALL TEAM - Mineros de Guayana.

🌟🌟🌟 - 🌟🌟 - 🌟

Hola amigos de steemit, bienvenidos.

This time I will talk about the main club of my city known as Mineros de Guayana, is a club founded on November 20, 1981 in Ciudad Guayana with its headquarters in Puerto Ordaz, historically by the club have passed great Venezuelan soccer players, Today it is one of those clubs that continue to send players abroad and in more than one opportunity they have also brought players from abroad, since its promotion to the first division has never descended, it has become common for the club to get quotas to play international cups, such as the Copa Libertadores and especially the Copa Sudamericana.

Achievements.

Although it has been difficult to return to being the absolute champion of Venezuela, the club has managed to be champion of the Venezuelan Cup, champion of short tournaments (closing/opening) and runner-ups, as well as almost always achieving the number of points necessary for the club to obtain quotas in international tournaments.

Curious and other facts.

  • Several renowned coaches in Venezuela and other countries have led the club, one of the best known to lead Mineros de Guayana was Mario Alberto Kempes (Arg).

  • Their characteristic colors are blue and black, their supporters club is known as the "pandilla del sur" (southern gang).

  • Its stadium has a capacity of 41,600 spectators (CTE Cachamay).

  • Radamel Falcao's father played in the Club and Radamel played in the lower leagues.

  • The club has subsidiaries in the sub divisions of Venezuelan soccer.

  • The club has a project called Ciudad Mineros where it has two fields, one of blue artificial grass and the other of natural grass.

  • In the surroundings of the CTE Cachamay, whether for Mineros or the Venezuelan national team, the logistics for visitors is pleasant since it has a nearby airport, good hotels, parking and other areas or fields where you can also enjoy the practice and training of soccer (This is said by journalists and visitors).

  • In several games Mineros got between 30,000 and 40,000 spectators per game, but due to political problems and now with the pandemic the number of fans that visit the CTE Cachamay has decreased.

  • The star on the Mineros de Guayana logo signifies the absolute tournament won by the club.

The club is currently playing in the first phase of the Copa Sudamericana, where it is facing another Venezuelan club to advance to the group stage. They are also preparing for the upcoming first division season. Previously in international tournaments -Mineros has had good matches where they have played against recognized clubs and performed well, but unfortunately they have not transcended much between the phases of these international cups. Looking on the bright side Mineros continues to work for soccer in the south of the country, training young people in the lower levels of the club.

Estadio CTE Cachamay.

In this stadium is where Mineros plays its home games every week, this was remodeled for the Copa America Venezuela 2007, there have been played and continue to play games of Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Copa America and Pre-World Cup, there are many important goals that the fans have been able to observe such as the great goal of Messi in 2007 for the America Cup that today is observed in the top of Messi's goals.

With the above said we can say that Mineros de Guayana has a great history behind it, initially the CTE Cachamay was given to Mineros as its own home but then the club left it in the hands of a foundation to manage and take care of the maintenance and infrastructure.

Conclusion.

The club of my city Mineros de Guayana is a club with an international touch, which has a great fan base, is one of the most important teams in the country and has remained more stable over time despite the problems of the country, along with other clubs like Caracas FC, TΓ‘chira FC, Zamora FC and Deportivo Lara (just to mention some of the many clubs that have history or represent us very well), Mineros de Guayana is more than a club is a community that has infrastructure, history and many other things necessary for a club.

There is still history to be made, this is the beginning of a great club.

This has only been a small summary of the many anecdotes that we can mention about Mineros de Guayana and the city that has always supported it in good times and bad.
