How has Covid affected football in your country?

Given the global exposure that the English Premier League receives, we've all seen how matches are currently being played behind closed doors to give fans around the world the entertainment they so crave. Sitting in front of a TV or laptop screen cannot compare to being in the stadium and if rumours are to be believed, the final Premier League matches will be pushed back to allow 10,000 fans to be present at each game, at the end of a bizarre season - nobody can argue that fans haven't been missed as the TV crowd noises overlaying the action are often laughable.

What is less apparent however, is that further down the football pyramid, matches aren't taking place. I'm not talking in the English Championship, League One or League Two (although there have been plenty of postponements), but in my case, National League South. Roughly 2 weeks ago, my local team (Eastbourne Borough) had their season ended with the season being declared null and void - 19 games played, 3rd in the league meaning absolutely nothing. Lockdown restrictions, the new variants appearing and I've no doubt numerous other factors led to this difficult decision.

What I'm interested in is what's happening in your town, your city? Did you have a football season at all? Was it cut short? Were matches postponed due to Covid outbreaks amongst players - Even now, matches are being postponed in England due to these outbreaks (tonight's match between Luton v. Rotherham postponed after an outbreak amongst the Rotherham team) at a time when the UK government has started easing restrictions.

It's been all too easy enjoying the Premier League and Championship action without really thinking about how Global Football has approached this so I'd like to hear your stories.
