Hello friends, today I want to make this guide of basic concepts in order to use it as a support when helping new users to enter Steemit. Many times it is had to repeat the same explanations, without realizing that making a guide entirely of my own that I can use as support is much more feasible. Today I will talk about power, votes and resource credits since I think it is necessary to know how steemit works from this point. I will use the browser Ecosynthesizer to show examples, and / or information that we need in this guide

Hola amigos, el día de hoy quiero realizar esta guia de conceptos basicos con el fin de usarla como soporte cuando este ayudando a nuevos usuarios a introducirse en Steemit. Muchas veces es tenido que repetir las mismas explicaciones, sin darme cuenta que hacer una guia totalmente mia que pueda usar como apoyo es mucho mas factible. El día de hoy hablare sobre el poder, los votos y los creditos de recurso ya que creo que es necesario conocer como funciona steemit desde este punto. Hare uso del explorador Ecosynthesizer para mostrar ejemplos, y/o información que vayamos necesitando en esta guía

We will know some concepts that will affect our votes, the influence they have on other people and how many we can give per day, below is a list of the points to be discussed:

Conoceremos algunos conceptos que afectaran a nuestros votos, la influencia que estos tienen en otras personas y que tantos podemos dar por día, a continuacion una lista con los puntos a tratar:

Steem Power

Steem Power is the most important resource here in Steemit, it will directly determine how many actions you can do on the platform, it will help you to have more influence, and it will even influence the value of your vote, allowing you to earn curation rewards.

So far so good but how do I get Steem Power? Let me list the ways to do it.

El Steem Power es el recurso mas inportante acá en Steemit, determinará directamente que tantas acciones puedes haceren la plataforma, te ayudará a tener mas influencia, e incluso influirá en el valor que tiene tu voto dejandote ganar recompensas de curacio.

Hasta acá todo bien pero ¿Como obtengo Steem Power? Dejame te enlisto las maneras de hacerlo.

1. The most common way to win is from the rewards obtained from the posts we make. In Steemit there are 3 possible configurations for the rewards which are:
   • Decline payout: Reject all funds received in a post or comment.
   • 50% SBD / 50% SP: Receive 50% in liquid SBD and 50% in Steem Power.
   • 100% SP: Receive 100% in Steem Power. Actually this option is unrecommended cause the SBD price is higher so its better set as 50/50 and move the SBD received to Steem Power doing power up.

   La forma más común de ganar es a partir de las recompensas obtenidas de las publicaciones que hacemos. En Steemit hay 3 configuraciones posibles para las recompensas que son:

   • Rechazar pago: Rechace todos los fondos recibidos en una publicación o comentario.
   • 50% SBD / 50% SP: Reciba 50% en SBD líquido y 50% en Steem Power.
   • 100% SP: Recibe el 100% en Steem Power. Actualmente, esta opción no se recomienda porque el precio de SBD es más alto, por lo que es mejor establecerlo en 50/50 y mover el SBD recibido a Steem Power haciendo power up.

2. The second way to get Steem Power is by making Power Up. You can acquire STEEM by buying it with other cryptocurrencies using exchargers like Poloniex or simply by exchanging SBD for STEEM in the internal STEEM market.

   La segunda manera de obtener Steem Power es haciendo Power Up. Puedes adquirir STEEM comprandolo con otras criptomonedas utilizando exchargers como Poloniex o simplemente cambiando SBD por STEEM en el mercado interno de STEEM

   You can power up by going to your wallet at Steemitwallet.com and keeping in mind that you must already have Steem, you can pass it to Steem power and grow your account. Check your Steem and Steem Power balance.

   

   By clicking in your steem balance you will get the following menu

   

   Then just enter in power up, choose the amount and click un the button.

   

   Once done you will get the amount of Steem Power what you power up.

   

   Puedes hacer power up yendo a tu billetera en Steemitwallet.com y teniendo en cuenta que ya debes tener Steem, puedes pasarlo a Steem power y haga crecer su cuenta. Verifique su saldo de Steem y Steem Power.

   

   Al hacer clic en su saldo de Steem obtendrá el siguiente menú

   

   Luego solo ingrese en power up, elija la cantidad y haga clic en el botón.

   

   Una vez completado recibiras la cantidad en Steem Power.

   

3. The last way to get Steem Power is with curation rewards. The more SP you have, your SP will not stop growing, because you will earn an annual APR, this means that your STEEM will increase based on an interest rate per year! And curation rewards each time you vote for other users and they are paid.

   La ultima forma de obtener Steem Power es con curation rewards. Mientras mas SP tengas tu SP no parará de crecer, pues ganaras un APR anual, esto significa que tu STEEM se incrementara en base a una tasa de intereses al año!, y curation rewards cada vez que votes por otros usuarios y estos sean pagados.

Resource Credits / Creditos de recursos

Didn't it ever happen to you that when you tried to make a comment, a post or a vote, this alert jumped you, preventing you from doing it?

Well, dear friend, let me tell you that you ran out of resources. Everything you do in Steemit is not unlimited, every time you do something you consume a system resource called Resource Credits, which are determined by the amount of Steem Power you have, at first you can run out of them quickly, however, as your SP grows you will not have to worry about this because you will have enough to interact as a regular user.

Resources recharge themselves over time, you can check the percentage of your current resources at https://ecosynthesizer.com/steem/@alejos7ven by placing your username at the end of the url.

No te sucedio alguna vez que cuando trataste de realizar un comentario, un post o un voto te saltó esta alerta impidiendote realizarlo?

Pues querido amigo, dejame decirte que te quedaste sin recursos. Todo lo que haces en Steemit no es ilimitado, cada vez que haces algo consumes un recurso del sistema llamado Creditos de Recursos, los cuales estan determinados por la cantidad de Steem Power que tengas, al principio puedes llegar a agotarlos rapido sin embargo, a medida tu SP crezca no te tendras que preocupar de esto porque tendras lo suficiente para interactuar como un usuario habitual.

Los recursos se recargan solos con el paso del tiempo, puedes consultar el porcentaje de tus recursos actuales en https://ecosynthesizer.com/steem/@alejos7ven colocando tu nombre de usuario al final de la url.

Voting Power / Poder de voto

The votes use a system similar to that of resource credits, we have an energy called Voting Power which will define how many votes we can give and what value they will have, it is highly recommended that the VP is above 90% so that our votes have the highest possible value. Every time we cast a vote we spend 2% of our current VP.

Los votos utilizan un sistema parecido al de los creditos de recurso, tenemos una energia llamada Voting Power la cual definirá que tantos votos podemos dar y que valor tendran los mismos, es muy recomendable que el VP este por encima de 90% para que nuestros votos tengan el mayor valor posible. Cada vez que damos un voto gastamos 2% de nuestro VP actual.

Voting Weight / Ancho de voto

When we reach 500 SP we unlock the super power of regulating with how much force we give our votes, this means that we can regulate the width of the vote by half, and spend only 1% instead of 2% of VP, but be careful, the value of your vote will also be divided.

Let's put a simple example, imagine that a user with 1000 SP gives a vote with a value of 0.14 $. By giving this vote he is spending 2% of his VP so he can give at least 5 votes before reducing his VP to 90%. Now imagine that instead of using 100% of his voting width, he reduces it to 50%, this user could now give 10 votes with an approximate value of $ 0.08. The values may be small at first, however this takes on special value when you have much more SP to be able to reach more users.

Cuando alcanzamos los 500 SP desbloqueamos el super poder de regular con que tanta fuerza damos nuestros votos, esto quiere decir que podremos regular el ancho del voto a la mitad, y gastar en vez de 2% de VP tan solo 1%, pero cuidado, el valor de tu voto tambien se fraccionará

Coloquemos un ejemplo sencillo, imagina que un usuario con 1000 SP da un voto con un valor de 0.14$. Al dar este voto el esta gastando 2% de su VP por lo que puede dar al menos 5 votos antes de reducir su VP al 90%. Ahora imagina que en vez de usar el 100% de su ancho de voto lo reduce a 50%, este usuario podría dar ahora 10 votos con un valor aproximado de 0.08$. Puede que al principio los valores sean pequeños, sin embargo esto cobra especial valor cuando se tiene mucho mas SP para poder alcanzar a mas usuarios.
