hello Steemians....welcome to my final achievement post

1. Do you understand how voting and curation work in steemit..

After the detailed post by @cryptokannon and the respective steem apps review by @yohan2on. I definitely do.
Apparently voting revolves round something called the voting mana which @cryptokannon likened to an energy bar in a game which depletes when you take a hit. A "hit" here can be likened to a vote. Whenever you cast a vote, your voting power which was probably 100% at the time of voting depletes by a percentage. You might also experiment this ... Try casting a particular percentage upvote about five times, you would notice a regression in rewards. Perhaps the concept of voting power/wheel is best explained/shown by the vote wheel in the steemworld app.

2. What happens if you vote a post before five minutes marks after posting

I understand the reward pool is split between author and curators and time frames determine the split/percentage to distribute. So voting a post before the 5 minutes time frame entitles the curator to less than 100% of the curation rewards.

3. Who will you vote for steem witness and why

It's definitely @justyy. I might have already "bought him some coffee" though. Apart from the popular steem tool steemyy which performs myriad operations developed by him . He's very active on the block chain and I find his posts interesting. He's also one witness you might just get to meet if you're active on the steemit discord group. It basically screams @justyy. He recently created a crypto-bot which really helps in displaying live prices. I usually found it hard getting accurate conversions whenever I try finding steem and other fiats equivalent in my local currency (ngn). The crypto-bot completely solved this problem. I'm pretty sure apart from the creator(wouldn't wanna spam his notifications :) ) who frequently tests out the bot to correct any form of bugs or errors. I'm definitely the second top user of the crypto-bot :) .
PS: I'm very sorry if I assumed your gender wrong

4. which community would you join in steemit and why?

I've actually joined a lot of interesting communities on steemit. I wouldn't be able to mention them all but some of which I'm usually active on are freewriters community which I found to be very helpful. The community helps me build my writing skills and also understand and express myself better through the daily prompts and freewrites. Also the steemalive community created by @focusnow which I'm definitely most active on. It's a community aimed at promoting the three R's. I was once a recruit of the community and now I've devoted part of my time to also helping other recruits understand steemit better.

It was a long run but finally I can say I understand a whole lot about how steemit works. I remember mentioning how vague and unclear steemit felt to me at first in my introduction (achievement 1) post and I definitely can say the exact opposite now :).
