In the photo above, the mosaic "Peace for the World", photographed at the Novoslobodskaya station of the Moscow tube (launched back in the year of 1952 -- before Elvis Presley was signed). Now there is a non-illusory chance that all this beauty may perish if the confrontation between Russia and NATO ends in a bombardment. These days, I think about my little photo archive exactly from this angle.
As you know, three things are inevitable: death, taxes and data loss... in case of a bombing and a nuclear post-apocalypse, the loss of my photo archive will not be the most irritating thing to feel sorry for, but I never thought about the loss of information in this way...
На фото мозаика "Мир во всём мире", сфотографировано на станции "Новослободская" московского метрополитена. Существует неиллюзорный шанс, что вся эта красота может погибнуть, если противостояние России и НАТО закончится бомбардировкой. В эти дни я думаю о своем небольшом фотоархиве примерно под таким углом зрения.
Как известно, три вещи неизбежны: смерть, налоги и потеря данных... в случае бомбардировки и ядерного пост-апокалипсиса потеря фотоархива будет не самым волнующим меня вопросом, но вот в таком разрезе про потерю информации -- я никогда раньше не думал.
