Dear,
I don't really know how to express my feelings now in words but I'll try because yesterday marked a memorable day in my life do to speak. Everything about yesterday's activities was to make me happy. Steemkids and parents community said it's "Shared happiness is the Best". My happiness was shared but I also wept. The bible says, Weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. I did these two things yesterday which made it remarkable. Want to know the narrative.?

Preparations to attend the Funeral

It was a Saturday morning, weekend, the only day I'm always free. I had places to go so I had to sacrifice doing my academics to going to these places. I woke up as early as possible and then examined the scriptures with my family. The scriptures actually highlight *Why we must avoid all forms of idol worship" and give our creator exclusive devotion. After examining the scriptures with them, I took to Preparing for the big event where I had to weep with my sister, who lost her dad in death......

On my way to the meeting point as we were to meet someone to board a vehicle, I saw a man dressed in blood from head to toe. I was kind of curious to know but was already behind time and was on a bike. When I got to the proposed meeting point, I had to wait for all to assemble before moving. We were heading for a LGA called Ibiono in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I heard a rumour the journey would be a long one but I flaunted such rumours.

While on the Bus, I captured lots of scenes right from when we bought fuel at a fuel station. We got held my naval officers but they actually allowed us pass since we told them we had an event to attend. While on the Bus, I saw lot of places and finally, we arrived the Local government. We moved in a convoy so we had to stay connected so we'll not get off track.

Here we were at Ibiono LGA. Her pastures, natural resources and roads were worth seeing and having. I was very much fascinated by everything I saw. Hardworking people were returning from their farms as it was already late in the afternoon. I thought to myself, If I were in this village, how would I survive in such a place. Life is actually hard there but they have natural resources of which they used in surviving. They had fuel woods enough. The road was actually tiring and boring. It was kind of an unending journey.

We left the meetup point by 11Am. By 12Pm, we were still on the road. Finally we arrived the village was held. This village name is called Oko Ita. The flex actually guided us till we arrived the venue. They had started. We alighted and were offered seats by the husband of the bereaved. I saw my friend there. He didn't allow me sit. He took me to explore the cultural heritage of that village.

He actually made my day though. I was kind of impressed about everything. I saw how hard life was in that place. If your motor mistakenly breaks down, you'll have to trek 30 minutes to where you'll see a bike as we barely see means of transportation there.

After exploring the tapestry of that village, I took to snapping pictures of the graveyard and other natural scenes. I also took Picture of the husband of the bereaved and with my friend as well. When the burial ended, I didn't waste a second as I had a hangout to attend. I waited for the corpse to be laid before taking my stand. I joined my Boss that was going to Uyo since I couldn't wait for our Bus anymore.

On my way back home, I took pictures of natural sites like the small river, trees, forest, bad roads and the cocoa farm. I learnt a lot from that place. My Boss also showed me an improvisation on land to avoid erosion.

The village did this interlocking to control the top soil from falling. While we were on the road, my Boss stopped at a coconut stand and told us to come and drink the water. The coconut water was very refreshing.

Sharing Happiness in A Hangout

I was actually late for the hangout though and I had to purchase drinks and snails for that event_. The mall I went to shop delayed me to the point that I began losing my patience. Finally I got to the scene, where it was actually happening. I apologized for lateness and was duly welcomed. Happiness filled my face as I saw unexpected people and expected people in person.

About 30 people were present in this hangout. That was my joy. I got to know most people not just by their usernames but also by their profession. The country representative, goodybest then addressed us in person. She told us things we need to know about steemit and also advised newcomers to be serious as they have guaranteed support.

Then @ngoenyi addressed us, giving us encouragements that suite our needs. We were so grateful for this hangout as we learnt a lot of things though. After the whole talk was a giveaway by me, sponsored by @okere-blessing. The giveaway was fun though. We then retired to sitting on the mats while food was served by our honourable chef, @mesola.

After eating what was served, we took to photographing, taking pictures of ourselves with those present. We had much fun though. It was now time to showcase our dance steps. We danced to a particular tune gracefully. After all the fun activities, we left for @eliany stand in the park the hangout was done.

PXL_20231223_185221438.NIGHT.jpgPXL_20231223_185101462.NIGHT.jpg

On our way to the stand, we stumbled on the Arise carnival that was done there. The scene was just too perfect a scene though. We reached her stand in no time although it took us minutes to locate. She welcomed us dearly and we felt her presence with the food she sampled on the stand. After staying some minutes in her place, we all retired to our various homes.

PXL_20231223_185631776.NIGHT.jpgPXL_20231223_185552136.NIGHT.jpg

I'll call it the best day of the week for me and other steemians who were present. I mourned and also Shared Happiness.
