Greetings to All
I Hope that you all will be well by the grace of the Almighty Allah.Today I am here to participate in the contest of the food Challenge that is organized in the SteemKids and Parents and this is the 53th week of the challenge.
Today I will teach kids about the recipe of sweet dish that is also my favourite one Ras Malai.
Rasmalai is a popular dessert made with soft and spongy cottage cheese dumplings soaked in sweet, thickened milk flavored with cardamom and saffron. It's a rich, creamy and delicious treat that's perfect for special occasions and celebrations. Here's how to make the perfect rasmalai at home. |
---|
Ingredients | Amount |
---|---|
Whole Milk (for chenna) | 1 liter |
Lemon Juice | 2 tablespoons |
White Vinegar | 2 tablespoons |
Water (for sugar syrup) | 1 cup |
Sugar (for sugar syrup) | 1 cup |
Cardamom Powder (for sugar syrup) | 1/2 teaspoon |
Saffron Strands (for sugar syrup) | A pinch |
Whole Milk (for sweetened milk) | 2 cups |
Sugar (for sweetened milk) | 1/2 cup |
Cardamom Powder (for sweetened milk) | 1/2 teaspoon |
Saffron Strands (for sweetened milk) | A pinch |
In this step, heat the milk in a saucepan until it starts to boil. Reduce the heat to low and add the lemon juice and vinegar. Stir gently until the milk curdles and then strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or fine mesh sieve. Rinse the curds under cold water to remove any sourness.
In this step, gather the curds and squeeze out as much whey as possible. Knead the curds in a bowl until smooth and soft, then divide the mixture into equal-sized portions and shape each into a round ball.
You can also buy the pack from market as I did.
In this step, bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the chenna dumplings. Reduce heat to medium and let them boil for 5 to 6 minutes, or until they have doubled in size. Remove from heat and drain the dumplings.
In this step, combine the water, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes, or until the syrup has thickened slightly.
In this step, add the boiled chenna dumplings to the sugar syrup and let them soak for 10 minutes.
In this step, combine the milk, sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes, or until the milk has thickened slightly and the sugar has dissolved.
In this step, remove the chenna dumplings from the sugar syrup and place them in a serving dish. Pour the sweetened milk over the dumplings and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.
Enjoy your delicious and creamy rasmalai! Serve chilled, garnished with pistachios, almonds, or saffron strands.I hope that you all will like to try it.
