I hope you are all doing well and I am excited to share the Aloo Kabab recipe while participating in the food challenge of the Steem kids and Parents Community.

Aloo Kabab is a popular pakistani snack loved by many. In this comprehensive guide, we will talk about the steps to prepare these mouthwatering potato kababs in your very own kitchen.

IngredientsQuantity
Potatoes4 medium-sized, boiled and mashed
Onions2, finely chopped
Green Chilies2, finely chopped
Coriander LeavesA handful, finely chopped
Ginger-Garlic Paste1 teaspoon
Cumin Powder1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala1/2 teaspoon
Red Chili Powder1/2 teaspoon
SaltTo taste
Bread CrumbsFor coating
OilFor shallow frying

Preparation
Boil and Mash the Potatoes
  • Boil the potatoes until they're soft and easy to mash.
  • Peel and mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl.
Add Onions, Spices, and Herbs
  • Add finely chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt to the mashed potatoes.

  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly to form a uniform mixture.
Shape the Kababs
  • Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into round or oval patties.

  • Roll each patty in bread crumbs for a crispy texture.
Shallow Fry the Kababs
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for shallow frying.
  • Carefully place the shaped kababs in the hot oil.

  • Fry until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
Serve Hot
  • Once the Aloo Kababs are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney or your favorite dipping sauce.
