Hello kids and parents

We never fail when we try to do our duty, we always fail when we neglect to do it. ...

What does neglect of responsibilities mean in a family🙇?

Neglect happens when a guardian or a parent chooses not to fulfill an obligation due to them to care for and provide for their ward, supervise, and monitor their child's activities. These obligations include the physical, educational, and emotional well-being of their child.

Neglect of responsibility or Dereliction in other words, means abandoning, refusing, or failing to care for your family or do your job as a mom, dad, or caregiver.

This could also be a failure to meet a child's basic needs, and it's also the most common form of child abuse. When a child is left without food, clothing, or shelter, what is their faith? This can put children in danger.

A lot of parents provide food, clothes, and other necessary things they feel their children need without minding their emotions or their mental stability. When we as parents fail in one, we fail in all.

It is the duty of a parent—not just moms but also dads—to take full responsibility for their child. Leaving a child in the hands of a nanny has brought so many dangers to the lives of these children.

No matter how busy we are, we can still make time for the children. Go through their work in school, feed them, interact with them, listen to them, bathe them, and give them hugs. All these are very important to the kids, as they need the love and affection of their parents, not just their nanny.

Have you been neglected or seen anyone neglected? What are the effects on the kids

I was never neglected when I was a kid, but I know of a family that neglected their children. This family had three girls and a boy; they usually bring them to my house to stay with us while they are away.

These kids grew up under our care. Their parents drop them off at school every morning and pick them up from my house every evening. They eat, bathe, and do their homework at my house. I guess their parents were too busy to attend to their kids except on Sundays.

This neglect continued until it had an effect on the first daughter. She attended a boarding school where she returned home only on holidays. One of the days, her parents were called on the phone to come pick up their child because she got into an argument with a fellow student, and she stabbed this student with a pen🖊️.

The next term, they took her to a day school and registered her to continue. These parents, I assume, did not take the matter seriously and continued their lives until their daughter went to the university and caused a scene. It was a big disaster for them because that girl was going through emotional hard times, but they failed to pay attention.

Your advice to parents who neglect their responsibilities towards their kids.

• If you are not ready to mother and father a child, don't think of bringing any into this world because there are lots of responsibilities at hand.

• No matter your busy schedule, always make time for your child. One hour or two hours would give that child a sense of belonging.

• Interact with your child; feed them, bathe them, help them with their homework, play games, and read poems with them. They feel loved and happy when they spend quality time with their parents.

• Neglecting your child could endanger their lives with some unhealthy act, but when you give them attention, they tell you everything going on with their life. Don't assume you know your child; ask him or her some questions.

Your advice to the kids who are neglected

To kids who are neglected,

You are not alone. Whatever you are going through is not your fault. You can talk to any trusted adult around to get the help you deserve. Do not tell some and leave some; tell everything so that they can know where to get help. Have faith; you will be fine.
